Main problems with exodia decks right now? Mobius, spirit reapers, etc...
What if I told you there was an Exodia deck built to counter the meta-game?
JUDGEXODRAW
Monsters(16):
1x Exodia the Forbidden One
1x Left Leg of the Forbidden One
1x Right Leg of the Forbidden One
1x Left Arm of the Forbidden One
1x Right Arm of the Forbidden One
3x Emissary of the Afterlife
1x Sangan
3x Des Lacooda
3x Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive
1x Magician of Faith
Spells (11):
2x Messenger of Peace
2x Level-Limit Area B
2x Upstart Goblin
1x Dark Hole
2x Dark Factory of Mass Production
2x Monster Reincarnation
Traps (13):
3x Jar of Greed
2x Waboku
2x Threatening Roar
2x Gravity Bind
3x Solemn Judgment
1x Torrential Tribute
Total: 40
There is SO much defense in this deck that even if my opponent plays Heavy Storm, a couple of Mobius, and others, my deck can set up its defense the next turn!
Main Tech:
-Waboku
-Threatening Roar
-Solemn Judgment
These three are so incredible that my opponents cannot penetrate my defense. I get MASSIVE card advantage (14-15 cards to my opponent's 8) and it is simply a matter of time, since I can stop any attack or even action that they might want to perform.
This Exodia deck simply says, "No!". It is built to be consistent, reliable, and controlled.
I like the Tsukuyomi, but I have no difficulties ridding myself of Sangan and Emissary. This deck, although it contains a lot of drawing, is NOT meant to go quickly. Cannon soldier and Mass Driver will clog up my hand. Yes they can send Sangan and Emissary on their way for pieces, but that makes for VERY poor hand and card management.
This deck has 2 engines. One is a Draw engine, the other is a Stall engine. Tsuku fits nicely with draw, but Cannon and Driver disrupt monster-based stall. They cannot go in.

I like your ideas, I will try them out. I believe Threatening Roar and Waboku are key to this deck though. It kills return decks, Giant Trunades, Heavy Storm, Mobius.
It's so anti-meta and so effective that I can't ignore it. Can you convince me that these will not foil other players plans (because they do, I won my tournament).
Mask of Darkness/Tsukuyomi, is a great draw engine, I agree with you. However, it's still a combo-based draw engine. Anything combo-based is doomed for failure when it comes to consistency. I will not be able to reliably benefit from having those in my deck. Des Lacooda is a single card that needs no combo to work. The defense is already present for a number of reasons, and this single, re-usable and abusable card just takes advantage of existing conditions. No combo required, extremely reliable. Please let me know your thoughts.
I like this deck you got going for you. The only deck that would fear it besides s/t removal is hand d but most of those cards are mosters so you're mostly covered. My only beef with it is getting rid of Sangan and Emissary. You got to find ways of getting rid of them yourself. Sure you got defense like Threatening Roar and Waboku but sometimes that one Exodia piece is at the bottom and stalling till then will take time. I suggest Ectoplasmer and I know you're thinking "Wha?" but listen to this. On your turns, you can tribute, make them suffer damage and get your Exodia pieces. On their side if they try to attack and you block it they're forced to tribute losing their monster. Sure they burn you but unless you're against a beatdown deck lp shouldn't be a problem. Plus they're forced to set until they get rid of it giving you slight stall. And the beauty is that it doesn't clog because both of you have to use it not just yourself. It's a suggestion. Definently try side decking it. Make your opponets go o.O?
I agree with you that it would be beneficial to get rid of the Sangans and Emissaries myself. This is along the same lines as what others have suggested, and I'm starting to believe that I do need it. Perhaps I don't against beatdown decks, but against another stall/burn deck, I may need the extra speed.
I think that against another stall/burn deck, I will put in Mass Driver instead of some of the stall cards. I may put more drawing as well (Dark Mimics or something). Thanks for the suggestion. In your opinion, what is the best and most synergistic way to get rid of Sangan and Emissary? Thanks
Does anyone else have comments on this deck? Do you see how it creates a complete lock down on our current meta?
There are a few cards that I have difficulty combatting:
Mystic Swordsman LV2 (a little less so than WMC)
and
Wave Motion Cannon
A lot of people run WMC in their sidedecks. Making a speed sidedeck of my own seems to be one way to go. I then change what type of exodia deck I run to best suit what I'm facing (speed vs. stall).
Question: Can Solemn Judgment stop WMC's effect of being sent to the graveyard for damage against me? Can it simply negate the effect of WMC, even though the card itself has been active for several turns? Thanks in advance
i think that this might help you. i like they way you work this deck, most of the current meta dosent target magic/trap except of course royal decree but thats beside the point. with so many stoper cards most people dont have enoughf magic/ trap destoryer cards in there deck to stop them all. maybe you could add a spiritreaper or a obnoxius celtic guardian to help for defense just in case you run across a silent swordsman/royal decree deck. my freind use's one and i hate it, it shuts me down to the point were i need my exiled force cause its the only way to stop him.
Have you given Pot of Avarice a try? It might help in Recovering lost pieces in case your Factory of Mass Production and Monster Reincarnation Fail to do so.
Take Sangan out of an Exodia deck? Umm... that would be eliminating the single best way to search for the Head. Negate Attack for Waboku? Waboku is chainable. Negate Attack isn't. If someone MSTs the f/d card I have, Negate Attack is worthless to me, whereas waboku is chainable. Waboku > Negate Attack.
I have tried Pot of Avarice in an Exodia deck, and it does have potential. I have yet to try it in this build. Thanks, I will give it a shot.
I've thought about Cyber Jar and Morphing Jar for speed. What I don't like about them is that they promote uncontrolled speed. With Morphing Jar, you need to grab either DFoMP or Monster Reincarnation to get back your pieces, and cyber jar just gives your opponent access to 1-2 of his s/t removal cards.
This Exodia deck is meant to set itself up, and stall for a bit until it gets card advantage (and it will) with the use of Des Lacooda. Once that happens, I get access to all the stall, Solemn Judgments, and Drawing abilities I need, essentially allowing me to shut down any attempt by an opponent to break through my walls of defense. This lock-down method to Exodia decks is VERY stable, in that the drawing helps locking, and the locking helps drawing. It's a wonderful circle of protection. After this is set up, it's simply a matter of time. I am in no rush to draw Exodia. It will happen eventually. My goal with this deck is to keep control over the field. The rest will happen on its own.
Well it is tricky, I like darkmagwalt's fixes.
If you go with them try out a night assailant, since you have 2 Monster reincarnation and alot of flip effects, NA could work out well.
So here are 3 possible fixes:
-3lacooda
+1NA
+1Mask of darkness
+1Tsukuyomi
or
-3lacooda
+1Toon cannon
+1NA
+1mask/tsukuyomi
or
-2lacooda
+1NA
+1mask/tsukuyomi
These are my fixes based off darkmag's earlier fixes.
Hope it helped :)
