Yet another round of changes for this deck. It's getting there slowly but surely. I'm not sure if this lineup will be a little bit better than the last I had, but it seems more stable. Only time will tell.
So I'm thinking about taking out Tsukuyomi and one Legendary Jujitsu Master, but I'm not sure what I want to put in their place yet. In another month or so I want to work two Yomi Frogs into this deck when they are released, but in the mean time I need to figure out something to use till they are released. Anyone have any ideas that help this theme out?
I like it its a cool take on a soul control deck i just wonder y u run so many bth's with most decks running monsters beneath 15oo and the monarchs dont fear the cyber dragon oh and i also appologize about that cyber dragon thing your right i just got a ad ruling from a judge.
Oh i also forgo to mention to you that i dont know if you have tryed them before but the gravekeepers spys really help out my soul control when its comes to stalling and field control
Hey don't worry about it, more than anything I didn't want you getting screwed over a bad ruling.
You do bring up an interesting point. I was running Bottomless Trap Hole to give me field control while staying away from Sakuretsu Armor, since I wanted to try out Nobleman of Extermination, which has been working out pretty well. Maybe I'll try switching this up and running three Trap Holes and one Bottomless Trap Hole, that's not something you see everyday.
I haven't tried Spies in this deck. I've run them in a Gravekeeper deck and have seen them floating around in Soul Control decks lately, but haven't tired them out myself. I might try them out and see how they work.
no prob its just that in the last regionals my deck was kinda close to how yours is i was just putting more focus on the spys and i like how your thinking with the trap holes since soul control decks tend to stall for awhile it would force these cc decks to summon and take some big losses great idea man
The other thing I've been thinking about trying out is Messenger of Peace. I'm not sure how well it would work in this deck, but I think it might be worth some testing.
I think the main problem I have right now is I want to run this as a Hybrid deck, and I'm not sure if that is going to work out well. I'm going to give this some more thought tonight and tomorrow and see what changes I can come up with. Lately I have been all for making major changes to this deck.
I kinda did a hybrid with mine but i went back to the stall just using the hand and field control to my advantage but i like where your going with he messenger of peace it could help against those pesky beastdown decks overusing enraged so i would give it a try the one thing i can say though is that if u decide to go with just a stall until u can pull out the monarchs type thing run ate least 2 gravekeepers spys or even 3 and use 1 gravekeepers gaurd which is what i do believe me it really bothers all the mainstream decks right now cuz they have to burn a smashing ground on it if they wanna attack and if its on the field at the same time as any of the monarchs the spys high defense protects the monarch frm smashing so would consider it i will be putting up my main deck soon i switched to a phoenix control deck becuz phoenix gets past virtually ever magic and trap ppl are running with the exception of bottomless so whn thats up i hope you will offer your opinionon it
So I was thinking about this deck while I was trying to go to bed tonight. I'm not sure what changes I had decided on exactly, but this is what I've decided to try out right now.
I'm going to side deck Messenger of Peace. If it starts becoming something that I swap into my main deck all the time, I'll switch it into the main deck for good. Not sure what else I want to try right now, Gravekeeper's Spy is a possibility I just can't make up my mind on it yet.
Well you definetely seem to have some original ideas about your decks and it is looking lke a real competitor but like i was saying mine used the three spys and gravekeepers gaurd to maintain excellent field control becuz there is so little to counter a big defender but hey you dont have to do what i say soul control decks can be very versatile but i really like the deck
I'm still giving the Spy and Guard some thought. I'm trying to see if I can get a few dfferent ideas to work first.
I think Cannon Soldier is a really good addition to this deck. It gives me another use for Soul Exchange, Snatch Steal and Brain Control. This deck is getting there, it can definately hold it's own right now, I'm just not sure if it's exactly where I want it to be yet.
I might end up putting Magical Merchant back into the deck, but I'm going to keep testing this build to see how it runs.
Well the cannon soldier was just standing there for no appareant reason. You didnt even have last will to combo it with. At least a tomato can go well with the other ones
Cannon Soldier is another thing I can use with Soul Exchange, Snatch Steal, and Brain Control if I draw them. It's definately not there for no reason. Last Will wouldn't work if I launched monsters in this way. Basically this adds even more monster removal to my deck.
