It all depends on what the dominant Decktype usually is...since there's no way to predict what kinds of Decks you'll face OR what they may also sidedeck, it's best to go with general cards...or things that further help your deck...
Jinzo
Des Wombat
Mystic Swordsman LV2
Royal Decree
Royal Oppression
Divine Wrath
My Body As A Shield
Messenger of Peace
Robbin Goblin
Don Zaloog
Morphing Jar
Mirror Wall
Bait Doll
Needle Ceiling
Solemn Judgment
etc
etc
....is a small list of cards...(you already said Jinzo, Wombat and LV2)
i would put in 2 golds and 1-2 silvas.. they are great.. they counter hand control and dark world.. so if they flip there morphing jar or play card destruction they wont be able to swarm and win so easily that turn..
if it's not too much trouble, can guys post what I should take out when I use my side deck?? hmmmm..........and as far as the meta around here goes, I think it's warrior, soul control, and removal.
To make a side deck follow this process
1. What does you deck not do well (ex remove traps or spells, fight burn, fights swarm, etc)?
2. What deck types are there (ex burn, OTK, gravekeeper, horus, etc)
3. Fill in the void
My side deck for a hand control aggro deck fights burn, flip flop control, and switchs out for dark world decks.
Des Wombat * 3
Ceasefire (pure hate for the flip flops and mill)
MS LV2 *2 (the same)
Horus LV6 * 2 (for burn)
Gravekeeper spy *2 (to swap out for spirit reaper if playing dark world)
Waboku * 3 (pure hate for RFtDD, cyberstein, etc OTK)
Jinzo (Last Turn)
Royal Decree (same)
That covers alot fo what you see in regionals, but remember to figure out what your deck does not do well. Also keep a tally of how often you use the cards in your side deck. If you go 4-5 tourny and never use a card, take it out.
You also want cards that can guard your decks weaknesses while not killing it and, maybe, get an advantage over the opponent's deck. Don't just want to put in counters for decks
you NEED a kykoo in your sidedeck. its definately good sidedeck material, especially useful for going getting rid of those those all powerful monsters that screw you up every now and then (ex jinzo, end of anubis, blue eyes shining, etc) but be careful not to use it in a deck that runs rfp stuff. yea.
It can help, but you don't really "need" Kycoo...and...Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon is nothing to worry about since it's a nomi anyways...and hardly anyone uses it...
Ya, try out some anti-burn cards like Dust Tornados, Royal Dercrees, and some small monsters for burn like Sasuke Samurai - (or cards with his effect with 3 or less stars and an attack of 1400 or less) And also try out Mataza The Zapper, for when he has no monsters on the field since you killed them with an extra smahing ground (which you should also side deck or even main deck). Or you can take my route and go for side decking all burn cards, so you can take out all the cards you won't usually run in a burn deck out of your deck, and then side deck all those burn cards in your side deck for all those cards in your main deck that you wouldn't use in a normal burn deck.
Yes it sounds complicated, but in the end it is pretty lethal and fun.
alright I have some idea, but if you guys have more ideas, keep them comming........anyways, I made some changes ot my deck, and added some cards to my side deck........
