Dimension Fusion- Pay 2000 Life Points. Both players Special Summon as many of their monsters as possible that have been removed from play.

I have been told that both players HAVE to have monsters removed from play to use this card, but the card says as many as possible. If your oppenet had none out of play then his as many as possible would be 0, right.

I don't understand why it wouldn't work like that.

You cannot activate "Dimension Fusion" when neither player has a monster removed from play; at least 1 player must have at least 1 monster removed from play for you to activate it.

In that case, if one player has 0 Monster, he does not summon.

As long as there is at least 1 monster removed from play you may activate this card, either graveyard.

And you MUST summon as many as possible (meaning as many as monster zones as open).

You cannot choose to Special Summon just 1 or 2 if you have 5 open monster zones unless 1 or 2 is ALL you have removed from play.

You would have to summon as many monsters as you possibly can. So if you have Magician of Faith, Breaker the Magical Warrior and Night Assailant removed from play and 4 open monster zones, you would HAVE to Special Summon all 3 monsters to your field unless effects prevent otherwise (like Ojama Trio put 3 Ojama Tokens onto your field or Ground Collapse is taking up 2 of the slots, forcing you to only be able to summon 2 of the monsters)
