i know i dont have 40 cards in my deck but thats why i am asking you guys!!
i don't know why this deck is april death, it is not tourny legal now or will be in april. you only have 37 cards for starters, and by april dark hole will be fobidden in advance format. i don't know what you are trying to accomplisgh with this deck so i don't know what suggestions to make in order to make it better, be sides adding in three more cards.
drop
dark hole
vortex
reload
invader of darkness (not many quick plays are in now)
morphing jar 2
giant rat
add
mobius x2
treeborn frog
smashing ground x3
graceful charity
mirror force
reinforcements of the army
Do you mean as in a Regionals like a huge tournament or do you mean just a local tournament?
Its a really interesting deck to say the least. On paper I've thought of build a similar themed deck but never took the time or piece of mind to actually build it. Its a very powerful build. Not because of the monsters but in how vague the theme is overall. Its beatdown but a splash of control. Its themed but follows no piticular theme. Its spreads itself out but has surprising synergy. It has monster types that run the gammet so its much harder to predict (or fix even) or guess what your running. Unless you happened to see the decklist and have that piticular mindset in mind.
I like the build I hope you keep the vague or covert deck build in mind from now on. I personally duel to a similar style. My decks tend to pose as other decks like Flip Flop Control or in the past, a Chaos, and right now a Warrior CC deck. But eventually my opponent finds out it doesn't play like the CC decks and that it has a different tempo, focus, and method of winning. I often find my opponents 1) not side decking at all because they have no idea what to side deck. or 2) side deck in what I'd except them to side and I'll counter theirs or already have main decked the counter.
Anyways the fixes. Sorry for the rant. I felt it was a good idea to point out the decks strength.
-1 Man Eater Bug
-2 Gemini Elf
-1 Giant Rat
-1 Vorse Raider
-1 Reload
-1 Dark Hole
+1 Slate Warrior
+1 Tsukuyomi
+1 Goblin Elite/D.D. Warrior Lady/D.D. Survivor/D.D. Assailant
+1 Apprentice Magician
+1 Old Vindictive Magician
+1 Magicial Mallet
+1 Graceful Charity
+1 Smashing Ground/Reinforcement of the Army
+1 Creature Swap/Nobleman of Crossout
+1 Mirror Force
Of all the cards Giant Rat seemed the most out of place. True you did have earth monsters to grab with Rat. But more then half of them you would want face-down. Not face-up attack mode.
I gave the deck a bit more synergy. Old Vindictive is the Spellcaster version of Man Eater Bug and is searchable by Apprentice Magican. Apprentice is a nice opener and can search out your Old Vindictive or Magician of Faith. Apprentice also combos well with Breaker and Tsukuyomi.
Tsukuyomi seemed like a perfect fit in this deck so I added more fuel to her fire. I removed your 3 normal monster for 3 effect monster that'll give your deck more synergy. Slate Warrior, both Goblins, the Swordsmen, and your flips go great with Tsukuyomi. You can turn Slate Warrior into a beefy 2400 ATK. With both goblins you can reset their effects and flip summon them for another attack. You can abuse your Penguin for control, your magician of Faith for spells, Apprentice for M/T Control, and Old Vindictive for monster destruction. And Swordsmen and Tsukuomi are a given.
Magical Mallet is the better of Reload where you now have the option of choosing the cards you return. A smashing ground is always useful and with 5 warriors in your deck, 1 RotA is a valid choice. Although it breaks the only 1 copy rule, having a 2nd NoC would work well if you choose to use Tsukuyomi. And what 1 trap would be better in the 1 only theme then 1 mirror force.
These are only suggestions but I really like your "1 of a kind" or "random" deck. Its hard to anticipate and can easily be modified to fit a players style. Your side deck will be very powerful for this deck if built right. I'd suggest 1 mobius, 1 Jinzo, 1 Treeborn Frog, 1 "random" Golld and so forth. Allow it to help mod your deck to better battle your opponent in match 2 and 3. Hope this helps!
