Hey guys...well im new...really new to this game yet i kinda consider myself and old player (21 good ol years of age). I am actually a so called veteran Magic player, but about two years ago my little cousin decided to get into Yu gi oh. He's like my little brother and since i was working (server at olive garden) and made good money i spent a couple bucks on getting him some cards. i got online and made some research about things, what is the best balanced deck and what not. I would take him to the local Toys R Us tournaments they had and he actually won all of them, i was rather proud. I got into it a little back then i would play against him to better his skills...needless to say he stopped and so did i.

About 4 months ago i met this girl while showcasing my 360 at my university ( i won it by moutain dew and had it 4 days before its release woo hoo) and she showed up, she was a senior at a local high school and we just began to talk. a week later we ended up dating and one day while talking about our past we came across the fact she used to play yu gi oh. We hit up walmart bought two decks and began to duel. It quickly spread to having her brother and cousins playing with us. we bought new decks and booster packs and revamped our decks. I was looking for tournaments and i found regionals being held on oct at Austin tx, being from el paso a drive over there aint that bad and i figured i have more than enough time to make my deck better.

Here is where i hope you guys can come in. I want to do good at the regionals. so i will accept any critizism i need to be better. i'll post my deck up in hopes you all can tell me what i can change or what im doing wrong. thnx alot guys and here is my deck, i call it my pestering deck.

Okay man....

i'm a 21 year old duelist too, and as much as I don't want to come off as a jurk, I have to be honest. You're deck won't stand a chance in the current format.

Why?

Well first off all 1900 atk normal monsters have no place being in any deck. They just can't hold up to anything.

Secondly, running a gearfried is just not a good idea, for the same reasons listed above.

Thirdly, running any dragons besides Cyber Dragon in a competitive deck might hold your deck down.

x3 Masked Dragon - Run Dekoichi the battlechated locomotive instead
x2 Armed Dragon LV3 - remove these cards completely, run MS lvl2
x2 Luster Dragon (1900atk one though) - Looking for a beatstick? Cyber Dragon time
x2 Gearfried the Iron Knight - DD assailent would work here
x2 Armed Dragon LV5 - Breaker and 2 Gravekeepers spy's need to be here
x2 Command Knight - Not a bad card but you still need magician of faith
x1 D.D. Warrior Lady - good
x3 Deciple of the forbidden spell - interesting, keep if you want but....rentsy card
x1 Exiled Force - good

I mean, the options are far and wide with tech cards but you have to run Breaker, it's a staple and in my opinion one of the best cards the game has seen.
Cyber Dragon is my personal favorite card....It can tear people to shreds. Get ahold of at least one of them.

Eeesh...im bad...really bad...but eh...i got the critizism i needed...guess 40 is the ideal. well i got a new starter deck and some more packs. i am making a new deck. with the advice i got. i dont have the cards i would want but eh i'll see what i can do and i'll post my deck later thax a #### load nevega and thegreatmike man.
