Lightning Strike of Dark World - Staple Free (almost)
This is a Dark World project I have been kicking around for a few weeks. I'm trying for something unique, namely by using Dark World to Turbo Rush, but also in the fact the deck contains very few "staple" cards. Here is the list:
Lightning Strike of Dark World (40 Cards)
Monsters (19)
3x Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World
3x Sillva, Warlord of Dark World
3x Bronn, Mad King of Dark World
3x Broww, Huntsman of Dark World
2x Dekoichi, the Battlechanted Locomotive
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
1x D.D. Warrior Lady
1x Tsukuyomi
1x Sangan
1x Morphing Jar
Spells (16)
3x Dark World Lightning
3x Card of Safe Return
3x Giant Trunade
2x Gateway to Dark World
1x Graceful Charity
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Card Destruction
1x Snatch Steal
1x Lightning Vortex
Traps (5)
3x Treasure Map
2x The Forces of Darkness
I currently have no side deck. I plan to pack it with the materials needed to make a chaos sorceror/Dark World Hybrid if it is needed. It will also pack some Dust Tornadoes and other such and so on.
The theme of this deck is to rush the field, summoning many Dark World monsters in the same turn. Using Card of Safe Return, I also manage to keep a fresh, full hand a large amount of the time. The Treasure Map combo is actually quite reliable, and as long as what I discard is a Dark World monster, I don't lose advantage. The Trunades are also great for preparing for that final strike, since this deck likes to OTK anyway.
Now, as for why I am ignoring the "staple" spell and trap cards. The simple fact is that they slow the deck down too much, and end up stopping me from drawing the cards I really need. Storm kills my own S/T too much, and MST is a useless draw way to often. Call and Premature were simply unnecessary due to Gateway to Dark World and The Forces of Darkness. Torrential always tended to kill more of my own monsters than my opponents. Mirror Force always seems to be unnecessary.
Let me know what fixes you would recommend. I'll fix for fix, though I don't know how helpful I can be. I tend to try "different" decks.
I wouldn't nix Breaker just yet. He is the clutch card for this deck. Usually, if your opponent sets a Mirror Force and you want to save that Spell card that you'd usually use to clear it out, Breaker is that card you use. Plus it is a 1900 attacker, which sadly, Dark Realm hasn't got yet.
Interesting ideas that I may try. I don't know how I feel about the Goblin Elite Forces, but if I add in some Deck Devastations then I might do that. D.D. Lady and Breaker are good for clearing a path to their LP...
Rushing the field can be fun, but I really think you need some more monster removal other than Vortex.
The Trunade / Map combo is real nice, (wish I had another Map! :p )
I think 3 CoSR is overkill.

+Magician of Faith x2
Beware of playing Card Destruction OR Morphing Jar. More people are teching DW monsters now, and your ging to have to side it if you face another DW deck.

Indeed. Two cards in my side deck own it.
The End of Anubis > Like half your cards
The End of Anubis > That same half of your cards again
You don't have the supplies to take it off the field. Four to be exact. Shuts down 18 of your cards. GG
If you can fit it in, try Ha Des because if you put them into a corner and they start setting crap Ha Des + Dark Worlds = OMFG. And a fissure or smashing works real good when you are in a corner.
