Since Yugioh Realms was down for a while i joined UDE and there is a big discussion about Kuriboh.
Kuriboh
Discard this card from your hand to the graveyard to make the battle damage inflicted by 1 opponents monster 0.This effect can only be activated during your opponents battle phase.
So say my opponent attacks my life points directly with a monster that can attack twice during the same battle phase (cyber twin, mataza, hayabusa, twinheaded beast etc), and i discard Kuriboh, does it drop both attacks by that one monster zero? The members on UDE said it only drops one attack down to 0, but the description on Kuriboh says "one monster" not "one attack". can someone please clear this up?
First, I have to ask...You joined "UDE"? You definitely don't mean "Upper Deck Entertainment", right? Because UDE is the company that distributes the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG in the Americas, Europe, Australia, etc., and isn't the name of a message board/forum, as far as I know anyway.
In any case, whoever told you that answer is correct. "Kuriboh"'s effect only reduces the damage to 0 during one Damage Step, and therefore during one attack.
So, you can only reduce the damage of one attack from a monster that can attack multiple times.
Yeah, the text makes it a little confusing for some people. It SHOULD read something like...
"Discard this card from your hand to the graveyard to make the battle damage inflicted by 1 of your opponent's monster's attack 0.This effect can only be activated during your opponents battle phase."
