If my opponent activates Dust Tornado targeting my f/d Jinzo, can I respond by activating COTH and targeting Jinzo in the graveyard, will it stop the Dust Tornado.
And also... If it's my turn, do I have the priority to activate the first card? My friend argued that he can chain Ojama Trio during my Standy by first..

I think you mean you're f/d m/t, lol (you said f/d Jinzo, if you didn't notice).
Anyways, yes you can chain with Call of the Haunted to bring back Jinzo and, if the chain successfully resolves, Jinzo's effect will negate Dust Tornado and prevent it from being able to destroy your set m/t. Sort of like how you can chain Royal Decree to a Sakuretsu Armor when attacking to negate it.
And, yes, you have priority during your phases until you pass it to your opponent (which always must happen if you do not plan to activate anything), so if you do not have anything to (or wish to) activate during your Standby Phase (like Mystical Space Typhoon, let's say), then you pass priority to your opponent to allow them to activate anything that they wish to activate. At least that is my understanding of how it works. If not, then mortals or someone will come along and correct me.
Thanks, see, this is the kind of answer people like to see, it specifically address the question using only the situation given. Sometimes a search will turnup with a similar situation that the user was not concerned about.
just remember specifically what hdi said. you as the turn player will get first priority in each phase of your turn, but you must still give your opponent priority in every phase as well.
so during your standby phase (or even during your draw phase) your opponent will still get a chance to activate ojama trio before you can enter your main phase. and if you do mean that you want to activate something in you standby phase before they activate ojama trio then i apologize. but i can't think of a reason why it would make a difference wether you activate first and they chain or if they use ojama first and you chain (all scenarios i think of its actually better if they go first and you chain)
Yep, since if you are the one to chain to them, you get your effect first before they get their's unless the opponent chains again with something to negate it or something.
yeah i was thinking if he wanted to use something to fill up monster zones so ojama trio can't be used but if he did that as the first link, they'd chain ojama and get their effect first anyways. unless there was a way to fill his zones with a cost but there aren't any in existance.
So my understanding is that if jinzo comes back with an effect on the chain, he will negate all traps, including non-continuous (?).
Lets say that my opponent activates mirror force, and I chain with call of the haunted on jinzo. Jinzo will come back and mirror force will be negated (since it is still face up: hasn't resolved).

Is this correctly played?
Yes...since Mirror Force has not resolved yet...Jinzo will negate the effect (since it is now face-up in the chain)..
if jinzo is summoned mid-chain he will negate all traps that activated on the field.
meaning if in your example mystic space typhoon was also chained destroying and sending mirror force to the graveyard, mirror force will still be negated by jinzo because it was activated on the field (and in essence the effect is still on the field)
the only traps that jinzo will not negate are traps that already resolved before he gets to the field, and traps that do not activate on the field (such as dark coffin, or pharaoh's treasure when its drawn face-up from the deck)
Yep...like if Waboku was used earlier in the turn, it would still prevent Jinzo (or any monster) from killing your monsters in battle or doing any battle damage to your LP.
