Hi, I was reading the UDE FAQ for resolving chains in which a counter trap is activates. I.E:Magic Drain. Since there now exist Bountiful Artemis, my question is: Player A, the turn player attacks with Bountiful Artemis (EOJ-EN020) and (Player B), opponent, plays Book of moon. Player A activates Magic Drain, but Player B plays Seven Tools of the Bandit...then:
1. There were 2 counter trap activated while Bountiful Artemis was face up on the field, so would player A draw 2 cards?
2. Also, if resolved correctly Player A wouldn´t draw a single card, because, Magic Drain was negated, and then book of moon was resolved, then Bountiful Artemis was resolved face down while the countertraps were activated.
Which is the right chain?
Bountiful Artemis is a Must to combo with NEGATE ATTACK and TRAP JAMMER!
Diamond dude is a pretty dangerous card, I guess life condenser was created for preventing such advantage: You got : 100 Lp. Opponent: 6000. You got Diamond dude in your hand, you are playing a QUIZ deck, and to check out stuff you are using: BiG Eye. They hit big eye, and you arrange: Tribute to the doom, Reversal Quiz, Magician of Faith, Card of Sanctity, Magical Merchant.
you draw: tribute to the doomed. You summon Diamond Dude, use it´s effect: (pick up top card which is REVERSAL QUIZ) send it to graveyard and wait till next stand by phase. Set Tribute to the doomed, and another face down trap card.
Opponnent´s turn, summons Moebius Frost Monarch and targets your 2 face down cards, resulting one is magic drain and the other: triggers Tribute of the doomed. Destroying Moebius.
You skip draw phase because of Tribute of the doomed´s effect, but Standby phase will activate REVERSAL QUIZ from your graveyard (¿¿???) switching 6000 Lp for you and 100 for your opponent. you set 1 card face down and place Diamond dude in defense mode.
Opponent´s turn draws and summons a DD warrior lady. - you respond with BTH.
Your turn: you draw magician of faith, set her face down and activate diamond dude´s effect: resulting: CARD OF SANCTITY. Send it to graveyard and pass.
Opponent´s turn, draws heavy storm, and plays it, then he summons Assura priest: destroying Diamond Dude, and MAgician of faith (her effect activates, and you´ll select tribute of the doomed). Hits you with 1700 LP.
You draw: magical merchant, standby phase: you get to draw 2 cards from Card of sanctity: Heavy storm and Poison of the old man. Play Heavy and clean the opponent´s field. Set Tribute to the doomed, attack with magical Merchant....you WIN.
Card of sanctity and Reversal Quiz were played without cost and there was nothing to stop them except (removing them from the graveyard).
I have a couple of unresoved mystery questions:
1. If I apply Diamond Dude´s effect to Different Dimention Capsule....do I have to wait 2 standby phases before getting my card directly from the Deck to my hand or will I get straight from the deck to my hand ??
2. once I was playing against an opponent and he targeted my face down Call of the Haunted, and I selected my phoenix from my graveyard, thus, the chain when resolving had to destroy COTH and my phoenix will reborn because of the effect of being destroyed by a card effect: COTH. So how will this resolve correctly?? He claimed the chain never resolved bringing phoenix since the COTH didn´t bring the monster since it was destroyed before resolving.
3. If I have MALFUNCTION (SOI-EN060) and pay the 500lp to activate this counter trap in response to NEGATE ATTACK from my opponent, when I declare Attack with DD Warrior lady, and he sets it back, but then I (again) attack with another monster and then ....can my opponent activate NEGATE ATTACK once again? ....(side comment: why in the world has everyone forgotten about this card??!!)
4. CRV-JP058 Conscription .- Says: "Pick up the top card of your opponent´s deck. If the picked-up card can be "Normal summoned", Special summon it to your side of the field. If not, add that card to your opponent´s hand.....
All right, back in the time of monster gate we read: "Offer 1 monster on your side of the field as a Tribute. Pick up cards from your deck until you pick up a monster that can be "Normal summoned" and special summon it. Send any other cards picked up to the Graveyard."...I rember people played scapegoats and then search for any NON-NOMI monster, and that monster, even if it was ultimate obidient fiend (3500) could be special summoned to the field.
SO: If "this card can be normal summoned" when we compare one another, means that I can special summon a Jinzo or Moebius from my opponent´s deck with Conscription??!.... I looked for rulings, as always..cards with best plays appear nowhere in the net! Can someone tell me the correct use of Conscription?

UDE´s FAQ concerning Diamond Dude: "When you resolve “Destiny Hero – Diamond Dude’s” effect you (1) reveal the top card of your Deck, then (2A) send it to your Graveyard if it is a Normal Spell Card or (2B) return it to the¨ TOP of your Deck if it’s not. Activating that Spell Card’s effect during your next turn is not activating “Destiny Hero – Diamond Dude’s” effect at that time. Even if “Destiny Hero – Diamond Dude” is not on the field during your next turn’s Main Phases, you can still activate the effect of that Normal Spell Card."
Now it´s going to result that Diamond Dude also has text errata???!! - The card says "If the card is not a Normal Spell Card, place it on the BOTTOM of your Deck"...who´s wrong..the website FAQ or the CARD (we´ve seen this tons of times for cards in other prints...)
6. Now that decks are Macrocosmos-ready, UDE´s FAQ say nothing about GREN MAJU DA EIZA.- The card says: "The ATK and DEF of this card become the number of your cards removed from play x 400 points." ----- So, my question is: why since the LOD (Legacy of Darkness) they said this card´s ATK will only raise counting my MONSTER CARDS removed from play?? ----- I used to play this card combined with Skull Lair...Now ...can someone tell me HOW to play this correctly, please? UDE´s FAQ say nothing about Da Eiza...

The effect of Familiar Possesed Eria 1850/1500 (EEN-EN027) reads: "By sending 1 "Eria the water charmer" and 1 Water monster from your side of the field to the graveyard, you can special summon this card from your hand or Deck. If you special summon this card this way, this card gets the following effect: During the battle between this attacking card and a Defense position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATk of this card, inflict the difference as battle Damage to your opponent´s life points." ....Even if this card is not in your hand, but you fullfill the requirements sending monsters from the field to the graveyard by the water charmer effect´s, you´ll get this grown up girl ready to beatstick defense points to your field!
.....and now if you read UDE´s FAQ about the Sphinxes, it doesn´t clarify whether pyramid of light must be paid when Sphinx teleia or Andro sphinx are in your HAND or in your DECK. Since it´s effect prevents them from attacking the same turn they are normal or special summoned, this must be something I´d like to check out: CAN THEY BE SPECIAL SUMMONED FROM THE DECK??
8. Is Dimention Jar (DR1-EN078) an obligatory effect?: FLIP: Both players can remove from play up to 3 monsters from the opponent´s graveyard. I found nothing on rulings...please help me.
9. A Cat of ILL Omen DR1-EN018.- FLIP: Select 1 Trap Card from your deck and place it on top of your Deck. If "necrovalley" is on the field, you can add the selected TRAP CARD to your hand instead....
Ok...ok... I go and search for a trap card in my deck and then LOOK along the way all the cards that I´ll be getting next turns, since I will place my TOP trap card...WITHOUT shuffling my deck!!! Is this a dream come true?? Diamond dude´s effect can be combo-ed with this!! - Can this be done?
For Conscription, yes you could summon jinzo or Mobius (a tribute summon is counted as a normal summon).
As for.....

Notice the word "can" in its effect. Neither player has to remove any cards in their opponents graveyards.
For Cat of Ill Omen. No. UDE/Konami rules state that after you search your deck you MUST shuffle afterward, so take the card, place it aside, shuffle, and put it on the top of your newly shuffled deck.
As for this.....

Priest CANNOT attack directly after he attacks monsters. Hope this helps :P
1. You draw for each Counter Trap card after its effect(s) have resolved. And it does not miss the timing as it is NOT an optional Draw
2. If the Counter Trap is negated, it's treated as not being "activated" nor has it resolves successfully, so Artemis would not let the controller draw. If it's f/d, obviously, it does not let a player draw.

Not THAT dangerous as it is not guaranteed. It relies TOTALLY on luck, so you should NOT just throw in a Bunch of Normal Magic Cards that would be situational or even impossible to use at ANY other time.

I think you mean OFFERINGS to the Doomed, which has to be chained....not "Triggered".

You STILL have to guess the top card of your Deck. It does not JUST switch LP just like that.
So, the overall combo does NOT work like that....

You have to still wait for it....

Since YOU were the one who went last (assuming nothing more was chained), then Call of the Haunted resolves FIRST (Chain Link 2) thus, Phoenix WILL be Special Summoned and then when Chain Link 1 resolves, Call of the Haunted is destroyed which in turn, destroy Phoenix with its effect, allowing Phoenix to be Special Summoned during your next Standby Phase.

No...because Negate Attack is "Set" back face-down meaning it's the same thing as if it was Set from Dust Tornado. You cannot activate Traps in the same turn they are Set.
The reason why it's not used is because it is just a small delay or a stall like Waboku. "Competitive" players want to get rid of such cards immediately instead of letting it get used.

Tribute Summons are STILL Normal Summons unless it says to be Treated otherwise. So unless it cannot be Special Summoned (by effect like Jowgen the Spiritualist or in general like Ancient Gear Beast/Golem) then it can be Special Summoned to your field.

Activating that Spell Card's effect during your next turn is not activating "Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude's" effect at that time. Even if "Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude" is not on the field during your next turn's Main Phases, you can still activate the effect of that Normal Spell Card.

Umm...Gren Maju Da Eiza never said anything about JUST Monster Cards for its ATK/DEF increase. You're getting the Monster Card concept mixed up with effects like Bazoo the Soul-Eater and Skull Lair, which can ONLY remove Monster Cards for their costs.

You're losing 2 WATER monsters for an 1850/1500 with trample. The only advantage there is that it can be from the Deck...otherwise, chances are, you'd rather keep the 2 you already have on the field.

UNLESS it Specifies otherwise, they MUST be from your hand. One or both of the cards MUST state that it can be from the Deck somehow. (ie. Knight's Title, Bonding H2O, Release Restraint, etc)

You can Remove 0, 1, 2 or 3 monsters from the opponent's Graveyard.

Umm...WHENEVER you search your Deck by ANY means, you HAVE to shuffle the Deck afterward. Konami hopes people will know this by common sense, which is why they do not waste ink and printing to put "Shuffle the Deck Afterward" on EVER single search card.

Umm...WHENEVER you search your Deck by ANY means, you HAVE to shuffle the Deck afterward. Konami hopes people will know this by common sense, which is why they do not waste ink and printing to put "Shuffle the Deck Afterward" on EVER single search card.
However, in this instance, you would shuffle the deck and then put the trap card on top.
I say your wrong about Malfunction, HalfDemonInuyas, the text of Malfunction states:
Pay 500 Life Points. Negate the activation of a Trap Card and return it to its original position.
I don't say anywhere in the card text that mentions the card is "Set", just returned to its face-down position, like when Strike Ninja returns in the End Phase of a turn he used his effect, he comes back to the field, but is it a Special Summon? No.
The whole point of Malfunction is to screw up the timing of your opponent's cards. If say you attack with a "Gemini Elf" and your opponent responds with Sakuretsu Armor, you can activate Malfunction, force them to put it back face-down and your attack will continue with them losing the appropriate timing to activate an attack response trap. =

But thats what I mean, it doesn't make the trap set itself so the opponent can't use it for that turn, it, as you put it, screws up the timing of your opponent's trap card.
That is incorrect. Turning the back back-down to its original position does NOT "Set" the card again. If you were to attack with a second monster, your opponent can still activate the turned down Sakuretsu Armor.
Unless it Specifies otherwise, they MUST be from your hand. One or both of the cards MUST state that it can be from the Deck somehow. (ie. Knight's Title, Bonding H2O, Release Restraint, etc)
Knight's Title, Bonding H2O and Release Restraint all specifically state that it can Special Summon that monster from the Deck (or Graveyard in the case of Knight's Title and Bonding H2O).
Pyramid of Night NOR Andro Sphinx or Sphinx Teleia state anywhere that they can be Special Summoned from the Deck. So since they do not specifically state it, then the ONLY place they can be summoned is from your hand.
