Didn't find any thread pertaining to this issue, so thought I'd post it.
Why is there a difference in the ruling between "Sonic Jammer" vs. "Spiritualism", as opposed to "Spell Canceller" vs. "Spiritualism"? Is there something in the card text that I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any input.

I don't know why exactly given Spell Canceller is worded exactly like Jinzo except for Magic Cards instead of Trap Cards, but the effect itself is treated like Imperial Order where only the Effect is negated but NOT activations....which is odd, since it says right on the card "As long as this card remains face-up on the field, Spell Cards cannot be activated" with nothing about negating activations, just effects of one's already face-up on the field.
But with the ruling that Spell Canceller is like Imperial Order, the difference is because Sonic Jammer (like Cold Wave) prevents the very activation of Spiritualism, meaning you can't even declare you're going to activate it while Spell Canceller, given its odd ruling, LET's you activate Spiritualism because it "doesn't prevent its activation" and since Spiritualism's activation and effect can't be negated.
Very odd, yes...one of the few rulings that makes absolutely no sense.
Yes...it's one of the few rules that goes completely against what the card actually says...with that ruling, it seems like Jinzo should be like Royal Decree...
