hey this probably an easy question but , i cant seem to find the answer in the rule book
if i take control of someone else's monster creatureswap/snatch etc. and it does not go to the graveyard via macro/noc/df does this monster go to the owners pile of removed cards (for this duel) or does it go to the controllers ? i would geuss the owners because that is the way the graveyard effects work but wouldn't you know this happened to me recently and my opponent said it does not or ther is no ruling so.......

Anytime a card is removed from play it will revert back to the owner and be placed in their "Removed from Play" pile.
This is the reason why you would not be able to special summon your opponent's monsters with Return from the Different Dimension, as they are not within your "Removed from Play" pile.
Unless cards specifically tell you otherwise, you should always assume it goes back to the owner for any effect involving returning to your hand/deck, being sent to the Graveyard or being removed from play and such.
