Alright, if you use Magical Hats to pull out 2 Dark Coffins from your deck, those 2 cards are used to represent Monster cards, and are destroyed at the end of the opponents Battle Phase due to Magical Hat's effect. When Dark Coffin is sent from the field to the graveyard, it's effect activates. Since anything used to represent Monster cards are tokens, Dark Coffin should be considered a token when used with Magical Hats right? Since Tokens can't be placed face down on the field, the face down cards themselves represent face up tokens shouldn't they? So if someone attacks a face down Dark Coffin and sends it to the graveyard, it shouldn't flip the card face up before it is sent to the graveyard, or does it? Give me your take on this people, because I'm not so sure anymore.

1. No....cards treated as Monster Cards (no matter how long) are treated as monster cards for the duration of whatever effect made them that way...not EVERYTHING used to represent a monster card is not automatically a "token".
Tokens are only there if they are specifically placed there by the effect...(telling you to Special Summon a <name> Token to your field or something).
2. If someone attacks a face-down Dark Coffin that has been brought out by the effect of Magical Hats it will NOT activate since it was not face-down when it was destroyed.
Not to mention, the effect activates in the Graveyard where it would still be a Trap Card anyways.
You're trying to merge to COMPLETELY different things together...
The only thing I can think of using Magical Hats now is to reset a Flip Monster and let them attack it. Assuming they can only attack once, and they're gunning for the Monster I made painfully obvious not to hide, I should be able to benefit from Dark Coffins effect then.

That's why there's things like Threatening Roar...The Dark Door...A Feint Plan...Shift...etc.

You can always use Black Pendant, or Fuhma Shuriken
This is just in theory, but if I wait for them to finish attacking, and I still have a Monster on the field, I can activate Magical Hats before they end their Battle Phase right? Since Magical Hats says it can only be activated during the opponents Battle Phase, I can just wait till they finish attacking and activate it before they enter their Main Phase 2 right?
Yes..you can do that...that's pretty much the way it is usually used anyways...since it only states "opponent's Battle Phase" with no other specific requirement...
Is there any other way besides waiting till they finish attacking before comboing Magical Hats and Dark Coffin? A way that doesn't make me waste a card like Threatening Roar?
No...they can enter their Battle Phase, decide not to attack and then move into Main Phase 2 instead...you don't HAVE to attack if you go into the Battle Phase...ultimately, you'll have to sacrifice some card most of the time if you want to do the combo before they end their Battle Phase...
