I recall a post by Curtis prohibiting this type of action, as it can lead to stalling and other penalty-worthy offenses. Anybody wanna back that up?

I beleve they made a ruling about it. Some people using Dark Designator then calling some monster no one uses (Larvae Moth) then they would see the opponents deck and write it down. It's illegal and they cannot do so. Nor can they speak outloud using a tape recorder.

Yep...it could basically be seen as cheating most of the time...also can't have someone else write it down either..
