No it doesn't because the card says "Harpie Lady" and "Harpie Lady Sisters" isn't treated as "Harpie Lady".

You have 5 different monsters to choose from for Hysteric Party:
Harpie Lady
Harpie Lady 1
Harpie Lady 2
Harpie Lady 3
Cyber Harpie Lady

One more question regarding Hysteric Party,

Since Hysteric Party is a Continuous Trap, can you continuously use it's effect to Special Summon "Harpie Lady" back to the field or would it sit there uselessly? In case you don't understand what I mean-




Player A- Activates Hysteric Party. Discards one card to Special Summon 2 Monsters with "Harpie Lady" in their name to the field.

Player B- Responds to the Special Summon with Torrential Tribute.

Player A- Activates the effect of Hysteric Party and discards one card to Special Summon 2 Monsters with "Harpie Lady" in their name to the field.


or


Player A- Activates Hysteric Party. Discards one card to Special Summon 2 Monsters with "Harpie Lady" in their name to the field. Player A declares his/her attack.

Player B- Responds to the Attack with Mirror Force.

Player A- Activates the effect of Hysteric Party and discards one card to Special Summon 2 Monsters with "Harpie Lady" in their name to the field.

No current rulings on that issue, though many people including myself, believe its just a one time thing.

Yes...I'm currently assuming, for now, that it is pretty similar to Elemental Absorber...where you can only discard once and get the effect once and not multiple times...so if the Harpie Lady's are destroyed, then Party will sit there meaninglessly.

We'll have to wait for a rule that specifically says otherwise (since there currently are none)

It's similar to a [Call of the Haunted] with a cost (no targeting and more possible monsters).

And that's what makes having Hysteric Party and Lady Ninja Yae in the same Deck a work of art all to itself....

The wording of Lady Ninja Yae's effect show's that it is a Ignition Effect, and that it can be activated more than "one time".

Hysteric Party does not sound as clear as to how the effect works, but the text is more in line with a one-time effect activation, that ties itself to the summoned monster(s).

I too believe it is a one time effect as, if you have 3 "Harpie Ladies" in your hand and you have an active Hysteric Party, you could summon all 3 of them very easily. Kind of broken...

Active Hysteric Party.
Activate the effect of Hysteric Party by discarding "Harpie Lady". Special Summon Harpie Lady.
And repeat.

Yes. Broken indeed. But only in a Wind/Harpie/Mai Theme Deck. Outside of those three decks, it's kind of useless... :ermm:

When the "official" ruling is released on this card, it'll probably mostly like read that it can only be used once while face up. Which sucks, IMO, but... "Hoo... I digress..." :rolleyes:

Why would it be a Continuous Trap if you could only use it once? That just doesn't make sense to me.

It has to remain on the field for the Harpie Ladies to stay on the field. Its like Call of the Haunted.
