The next in the Book of Five Rings series is the Book of Fire. This book is so full of insight, I actually picked two quotes from it:
When you have the enemy in an akward position, do not let him regain his composure and possibly defeat you. When the enemy is confused, you must go in for the kill. This strategy must be constantly studied.
Then this next one:
To suffocate a shadow. What is meant by suffocating a shadow is to understand the enemy's strengths and easily see through his intentions. If you can see what the enemy is planning, then how can you fail to defeat him instantly? Only by failing to take advantage of the situation can you, in turn, be defeated.
Now, this deck is based more in the second quote than the first, but the first should be a given for any deck. This deck is based on suffocating the shadow of my opponent, to know what he's planning, and to use that knowledge against him.
Royal Decree/Jinzo is really my only worry, and I want to try to eliminate those threats before they hit the field. Possibly room for a Dark Designator in this deck, but for right now:
Deck Name- Book of Five Rings: Book of Fire
Deck Type: I See You/Beatdown/Prenegation
Deck Record: 2-0-0
Total: 41
Monsters: 20
Cliff the Trap Remover
Dark Scorpion- Chick the Yellow
Night Assailant
Kiryu
Great Maju Garzett
2x Timeater
2x Newdoria
2x A Man with Wdjat
2x Dark Blade
2x Pitch-Dark Dragon
2x Pitch-Black Warwolf
3x Twin-Headed Wolf
Spells: 13
Big Bang Shot
Confiscation
Card Destruction
Cold Wave
Fengsheng Mirror
Swords of Revealing Light
Scapegoat
2x Pigeonholding Books of Spell
2x Mind Wipe
2x Mystic Plasma Zone
Traps: 8
2x Light of Intervention
3x Mind Haxorz
3x Mind Crush
Now, I have some unusual tech in here... allow me to explain some of them:
Timeater: If Mystic Plasma Zone is active or BBS is on him, I can usually force an opponent to skip Main Phase 1(meaning no Battle Phase for them), which can work to my advantage.
Fengsheng Mirror: With so many people running Tsuky, it's stupid not to run it. Also allows me another peek into the hand of the enemy.
Mind Wipe: If I don't like the hand(and generally, most people don't have more than three cards in the hand in my experience), I'll have them draw a new one.
Pigeonholding Books of Spell: I like the ability to force a bad topdeck... and I like knowing what's comming. So why not take a little looksy?
Light of Intervention: With only 1 FLIP: monster in my deck... why not? Lets me know what my opponent is laying and helps prenegate those nasty MoF/MoD.
yes, this IS a Dark deck, you expected something different? A Fire deck, maby? You know me better than that.
And as always with the Book of Five Rings series, rate it, comment on it, but please... no fixes(I don't have Ceasefire)
I was expecting a Burn Deck...you know...Fire...Burn? :)
I will fix your deck! Just try out The Eye of Truth, will help a lot. Greta deck though. 9/10 for originality, 7/10 for playability. Return the favor? Thanks.
Kool deck 8/10. I think a Dark Designator would be great in here since you'd be able to see what most people are running after 1 duel. Then you could disarm their deck. Ex: Say they run Chaos. Most people run 2 Chaos Sorcerers. Declare Chaos Sorcerer w/ Dark Designator, use Card Destruction/Confiscation/D.D. DESIGNATOR, which I think will work well w/ everything else letting you see into ppl's hands, and then BAM they've lost one of their best monsters. Do it againnnn... and what's a chaos deck without the Chaos Sorcerers? ^_^ Same with most other decks. Take out the best monster and what've they got?
