What I don't like is that the field card has a chainable effect. So I guess you pay 1000, then your opponent can chain mst to destroy mausoleum, and then you don't get your summon.

Yep...that's pretty much it...be thankful that there's only 1 MST and usually 1-2 Dust Tornado to kill it off...not much else that can be done during your turn that's used commonly.

Well, so much for a lot of good combos for some of the cards in POTD. They nerfed Mausoleum of the Emperor, so that you CAN'T use it in conjunction with Ultimate Offering (apparently, you have to pay for one or the other, but you can't do both, since they are paid at around the same time), and they STILL have that stupid ruling for Future Fusion where you CAN'T use Fusion Substitutes for it. This makes me bloody bitter. What other cards did they choose to screw up?

Someone has a temper problem. I think they have good reasons behind it.

Why not? True, the Japanese version of Future Fusion had the same 'can't use Fusion Substitutes' ruling for it, but Mausoleum had NOTHING involving Ultimate Offering, from what I've read. I thought UDE was smarter than this, what with the whole Rampart Blaster debacle and whatnot, but apparently I was wrong.

Is the Ptera Cannon OTK still viable, I didn't see a ruling for the card.

My sentiments exactly. I also can't believe they kept that stupid ruling for Future Fusion, as well. So much for using it in my Machine Animal deck...

Guess we'll have to wait and see what the card itself says...right now, though, I'd say it's viable unless the card text is something different all together...

Like saying it must be "destroyed" except by a result of battle...or has a "when..." and "...you can..." type of effect (which means it can miss the timing)...
