ok, i got an axe of despair from a magic ruler pack and one from SYE, now the SYE one says you must offer a monster from your side of the feild but the magic ruler one just says offer a monster on "the" feild to place it on the top of your deck, does this also include your opponents feild or just yours?

the most recent card ruling is usually the mos acurate. So i say that you must ribute a monster of your side of the field

yes however i got this card after i got the SYE so i dont know about it

If a card states that you have to tribute a monster for some reason, it is implied that the monster is to be tributed from your side of the field. You may only tribute off your opponent's monsters if you have a card that specificly states you are to tribute off your opponent's monsters (soul exchange or lava golem, for example).
