This build is a more stable, semi-CC deck. It summons Airknight/Mefist for free and gains advantage off them with the protection of Decree and Rush Recklessly.
This build is more of an all or nothing deck. It's less stable than the first build, but as you can probably see, when the big hitter hits, it's usually game over instantly.
I am just saying that deck 2 seem more, like you said, all or nothing. And to me, that's kind of the idea with Mausoleum. Either you win or you don't.
As i was looking at the first deck, i was thinking, "Why is this in a thread for decks using Mausoleum?". It just looks too CC. If you want to play CC, go for it, but leave the Mausoleum at home.
I will agree with CardMaster92, use the second deck. If you truely want to use a CC Deck, I belive you could use 2 other cards that would give more... CCness :p. And maybe try Jinzo in the second deck, he screams to me that he fits... since you only have 2 Traps :). Return the favor? Link in signature. Thanks ZaQ777.
This is my favorite quote. Seriously, I hear it all the time...

I'll try to explain this without going off on whole deck building philosophy.
So what if it looks CC if it makes the deck better? Obviously the deck is a Chaos deck that revolves around Airknight and Mefist. Mausoleum can summon them for free.
I wanted a version of a Mausoleum deck that used 1 tribute monsters since it would be more stable. Monarchs are automatically out of the question, so I figured Airknight and Mefist were the next best things. It just so happens that they are Light and Dark respectively, so once again, so what if I add Chaos Sorcerer if it makes the deck better?
If you can explain why anything in the deck is making it run less than perfect, I'd be very thankful, but know that whether anyone thinks its CC or not is irrelevent to me.
What do you think of the deck itself besides the fact that it looks CC?

See above.

I'll consider it. My reason for not automatically including him was that when I go for the big hit with Hino, I want to be positive he will connect. That usually means a Trunade or some other M/T removal. With Jinzo, they could still save the game with one of several QP's.

Actually, I've already posted there. I guess I owe you one. ;)
Zaq, I'm only gonna be hard on you because I know you can do a lot better.but I think both decks need a lot of work.Mausoleum of the Emporer has to give you something great for 1000 life points and it be worth it. I don't think Mefist and Airknigh are worthy targets and Cyber dragon should not need it.
Someone else on here mixed Mausoleum with Ancient Gear and after I reworked it, I loved the way it looked(although I never found out if he liked it). You should use them as your basis for the deck. As a matter of fact, i'll find it and post it here for you.

I don't disagree. If it was done, there would be no point posting now would there?

Obviously they aren't for Cyber Dragon, but I fail to see how Airknight and Mefist aren't worthy targets.

Ancient Gear Beast is a great idea. I think I'll work that in. I hope you're not suggesting that I run any of the other Gears though...

well, for one tribute you get low attack monsters. Sure their effects are stellar, but I think of it like this. Your paying 1000 life points to do at the most about 600 if they are in attack mode. In defence mode, if you luck up on that magician of faith or spirit reaper, you get about 1500,1600. but that may be few and far between. In other words, I wanna make up for that payment by dealing lots of damage. So what if it looks CC. I think it was clever to use their chaos aspects. Its just that....1800 and 1900 attacks for one tribute monsters makes me cringe. But I'm sure you can work it.
As for Ancient Gear, if you were to go that route, I'd suggest,3 beasts and 3 golems. that and possibly 2 castles would be as much ancient gear I'd want you to go. I'll put some cards down for you to consider if you want to change up the way you play Mausoleum.

Like I said, I like the suggestion of AGB. I don't intend to run Gear Golem anytime soon though.
As for the Airknight and Mefist, the deck isn't Aggro in the least bit. Its goal is advantage, not damage. If I poke for 1 point of damage and a card, mission accomplished. If they counter attack and I get them with Rush, I'm in very good shape.
Spells 20
3 Mausoleum of the Emporer
2 Ancient Gear Castle/NoC(in case castle doesn't mesh well)
1 Terraforming
2 Brain Control
2 Mystic Wok
1 Megamorph
1 Graceful Charity
1 Heavy Storm
1 MST
2 Rush Recklessly
1 Limiter Removal
2 Calling Magic(the card in POTD that lets you put a quickplay on the field)
1 Snatch Steal
Traps
3 Royal Oppression
I believe this is close to what I made. Tell me what you think.

ok I see what you mean. it all comes together when you describe it like that. well then I'd have to say that you got a good thing going here.
I like the first deck better than the second. If we were playing a strict Mausoleum deck, with just the intent to play out the Mausoleum, then I would be more comfortable with the second deck. But the first deck looks a lot more tournament playable.
For the first deck:
-1 Magical Merchant
-1 Mefist the Infernal General
-1 Book of Moon
+1 Gravekeeper's Guard
+1 Airknight Parshath
Book of Moon is sort of redundant. You have so much f/d hate and trampling monsters already, and you have enough large wall monsters already. As for the Mefist/Airknight thing, I think they're worth your grand of LP. I like Airknight more than Mefist though, personal preference. Merchants are risky to run without the Pot of Avarice, imo.

Thanks. Any tweaks now that you understand it better?

Book of Moon was only in there to make up for the lack of defensive traps. The third Airknight over a Mefist I'll consider. I'll probably make the final call after play testing. Merchant is a personal preference of mine. I've found that it can dig you out of all-monster hands pretty well.
