So, without further ado....


Kaiba's Revenge: Part 1

"I put 1 card facedown and end my turn." Weevil Underwood said. "Hahahahahahahahaha!" Kaiba laughed as he looked at the card he drew. "It looks like my first match of the National Championship Tournament will end even sooner than I thought!"

Kaiba was already winning by 2000 lp, and Weevil only had 1 facedown card and a Cocoon of Evolution on the field.

"What are you talking about, Kaiba?", Weevil asked, "In 2 turns my Cocoon will hatch and my Perfecly Ultimate Great Moth will destroy you!"

Kaiba smiled. "I'll put 2 cards facedown and end my turn."

"Just 1 more turn untill my moth hatches!" Weevil said, excitedly. "So I'll end my turn too."

"How pathetic." Kaiba thought. "Even that amature Wheeler beat him. Does he actually think he'll do any better against a superior opponent like me? I may have lost Obelisk at Battle City, but my deck is still good enough to wipe out a pathetic duelist like Weevil. I should try to draw out his facedown card though." "I summon Battle Ox and equip him with Axe of Despair!" Kaiba said. "You've activated my trap!" Weevil said. "DNA Surgery! It makes your monsters into Insects! Now I activate Insect Barrier! You can't attack, and next turn my moth will hatch!"

"I guess there's nothing else I can do, so I'll end my turn." Kaiba said.

"Yes! Now my moth is hatching!" Weevil said. The Cocoon split open, revealing a massive moth. "Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, attack!" Weevil cried.

"Now you've activated my trap card!" Kaiba said. "Ring of Destruction! And I also play Ring of Defense to protect my lifepoints!"

"No! Now I lose 3500lp!" Weevil said in horror. "Yes, and you only have 2000 lp." Kaiba said. "Looks like you lose."

"Nooooooo!" Weevil cried as his lifepoints went down to zero.




So, what do you think? That was just the first chapter, which I admit, wasn't that good. I gets better.

Seems like a good start ^_^, the only problem I see is that Insect Barrier is a Continuous Spell and not a Continuous Trap ^_^, other than that its a great start Mushroom Man.

Yeah, but in the show they switch things from magic to trap all the time, so yeah, we'll blame all my mistakes on the show! Lol.

Kaiba's Revenge: Part 2

{I can't believe I had to qualify for the World Championship by winning the National Championship like everyone else. They used to beg me to participate in tournaments, and now I have to qualify?} Kaiba thought as he walked down the street. He saw a group of kids standing in front of some kind of sign. Kaiba glanced at the poster. It was advertising the up coming World Championship Duel Monsters Tournament. It had a picture of Yugi with the words: 'Watch the famous Yugi Muto defend his title of World Champion Duelist'. Kaiba stopped, charged through the group of kids, and angrily ripped the poster off the wall. "World Champion Duelist." Kaiba spat with disgust. "I'll show them who's the best duelist in the world!" and he walked away

As he walked, Kaiba realized there was someone behind him. Annoyed, he tried to lose him. Kaiba found himself in a dark alley. He turned to face his pursuer. "Who are you and what do you want?" Kaiba asked. A man walked out from the shadows wearing a purple cloak. The hood prevented Kaiba from seeing his face. There was a duel disk on his arm. The man pulled off his hood, revealing white hair.
"Just call me Rare Hunter, and what I want is your rarest card!"

It is interesting to see Kaiba once again a normal duelist. He is still arrogant, but not as elite as he thought.

Ok, I cut the last part short, 1. because I'm lazy, 2. because I figured that's where they would go to commercial in the show, and I thought that would be interesting. Now, here's the continuation of Kaiba's run in with Rare Hunter.

Kaiba's Revenge: Part 2, continued

"Ha. Do you really think you can scare me that easily?" Kaiba asked defiantly. "Very well, I accept your challenge. After all, I could use some practice before the World Championship." Kaiba opened his briefcase and took out a duel disk.

"Good, I look forward to winning your rarest card." the Rare Hunter said. Kaiba grinned. "You have no idea what you've just gotten yourself into." He said.

"I'll start this duel with 1 card facedown and a monster in defense mode." Rare Hunter said. "My turn." Said Kaiba, looking at his hand. "I summon La Jinn and attack!" The green genie shot a beam of black energy at Rare Hunter's facedown monster. It flipped up to reveal Stone Temple of the Aztecs and the attack hit it, but did nothing. "My Stone Temple has 2000 defense, making it impenetrable for your La Jinn. You really should be more careful before you attack next time." Rare Hunter said. Kaiba scowled as his lp. went down by 200. [Hunter=4000, Kaiba=3800]

"I play Pot of Greed." Hunter said "allowing me to draw 2 more cards. Now I play Graceful Charity, which lets me draw 3 cards and discard 2."

"I know what the cards do Rare Hunter." Kaiba said."So spare me the explanations."

"I'll also put another monster in facedown defense." Rare Hunter said, ignoring Kaiba's remark."Your turn."

"I sacrifice my La Jinn to summon Sword Stalker! Now, Sword Stalker, attack his facedown monster!" Kaiba commanded. The purple fiend slashed at the facedown monster, destroying a Sangan. {Sangan?}Kaiba thought{Why does he have that in his deck? All he's done is defend and draw cards... That's it! Now I know his strategy!}

Rare Hunter searched his deck, found the card he was looking for, and then drew. {Hmm. I have 2 pieces of Exodia in my hand. All I need is 3 more. This should help.} Rare Hunter thought. "I'll put this monster in defense mode too and end my turn." He said.

"All this defending." Kaiba said. "Too bad you can't defend yourself forever from my superior deck." He drew. "I summon Vorse Raider in attack mode. And I'll power it up with my Axe of Despair. Now, Vorse Raider will attack your Temple, and Sword Stalker will destroy your facedown monster." The 2 monsters attacked, destroying both of Rare Hunter's monsters.

"You just activated my Skelengel's effect." Rare Hunter said. It allows me to draw yet another card. Now it's my turn and I'll play another Graceful Charity. I'll finish my turn by placing another monster on the field in defense mode. Your turn."

"I play Monster Reborn on my La Jinn, then I'll sacrifice it for Vampire Lord!" Kaiba said. "It's over Rare Hunter! I'll have Vorse Raider attack your facedown monster, and then my Sword Stalker and Vampire Lord will attack directly!"

"Ha! You attacked my Big Shield Gardna! And you forgot about my facedown magic card, the Reliable Guardian! It raises the defense of my Big Shield Gardna by 700, making it stronger than your Vorse Raider!" Rare Hunter said triumphantly.

"No!" Kaiba said. "It doesn't matter. Your magic card only works for one turn. So next turn, I can finish you off! Hahahahaha! Hahahahahahahahahaha!"

Finally this is back. I read up to chapter 14 i think when you originally posted this like 2-3 years ago. Great to get a recap though.

Ok, uh.... yeah.....

Well now that I'm on Christmas break, maybe I can finally finish this. lol

More to come (hopefully) soon, starting with a summary of how far I've gotten with the story (because I am WAY too lazy to repost all the rest of the chapters to get this caught up with my first attempt. lol)
