if i use stein and play chimeratech, since no fusion cards are needed what would the attack/defense be, or do i still use machine monters to set the attack/defense

If you use Stine to summon Chimeratech, you'll get a 0/0 monster.

First off, this belongs in the Rules of Dueling forum.

Next, you cannot Special Summon Chimeratech Overdragon using the effect of Cyber Stein. Monsters that have the effect "This card cannot be Special Summoned except by...", like Chimeratch Overdragon can only be Summoned in that way no ifs, ands, or buts.

A.) As stated above, Chimeratech Over Dragon is a Nomi monster. Cannot Special Summon it in any way except by Fusion Summon. Cyber-Stein, Metamorphosis, Summoner of Illusions, The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion = NOT Fusion Summon.

Only Polymerization, Fusion Gate, Power Bond, Miracle Fusion, Dragon Mirror, Future Fusion and Overload Fusion are considered Fusion Summon. Instant Fusion as well when Cyber Dark Impact is released in English.


B.) Even if you could bring it out in other ways, the ATK and DEF would be 0 since no Fusion Material Monsters were used in its summon.

Also, if Chimeratech Over Dragon is flipped face-down, has its effect negated (via Skill Drain or something), or temporarily removed from the field (Dimensionhole, Interdimensional Matter Transporter, Different Dimension Gate, etc), then its ATK and DEF gets "Reset" to 0/0 again since putting it back and flipping it face-up is not Fusion Summoning it, thus no Fusion Material Monsters used for anything. (and it does not continuously keep track)

I should have noticed that, but my one copy is in Germen and "Fusionbeschwōrung" is a pain to read in tiny print.

So is looking up the English text too, I guess.
