Hi, long ago my brother asked if Gren Maju Daieza in a macrocosmos game could be searched (evidently with a lot of cards removed from game and one monster being sent to the g-yard, after last will was played)....and someone answered:

NOR MEGAROCK DRAGON, GREN MAJU DAIZA, OR ANYOTHER MONSTER who´s atk cannot be calculated from the deck (ATK ?/ DEF ?) cannot be searched via SANGAN OR LAST WILL.

Having this (if whatsoever true) what will happen if opponent kills me with: Shining angel ->shining angel -> Shining Angel -> Agent MARS? (example: Dark Tyranny attacking all monsters in the above case)

If this could be done, can I also sacrifice treeborn, to normal tribute summon one GOryu, play last will , bring Agent MARS from my deck??

This is exactly true...

You CANNOT search out monsters with ?/? stats at all because they are all completely undefined stats with NO way of knowing if they are 1500+, 1500 or less or whatever the search restriction is.

You CAN search out Mars since it's 0/0, but anything with ?/? can't

Mars has NO unknown stats, Mars is different it has 0/0 stats, meaning it IS searchable via Last Will, Shining Angel etc.

Yes you can do Treeborn - Goryu - Last Will - Mars.

I was referring to the whole ?/? part mostly. Didn't see the Mars section. Anyways, Mars does have definite 0/0 stats.

?/? is ONLY 0/0 if it is face-up on the field with nothing strengthening it or face-down (in terms of things like Deck Devastation Virus). While in your hand, Deck, Graveyard or Removed From Play Area, it is ?/?.

all right...is there anywhere where I can see these rulings about searchers? I don´t want to run into another "!oh I´m sorry, I just remembered Necrofear isn´t a nomi monster! - thread" ...meaning rulings can change...

There's also several [Re: <card here>] rulings as well like...

[Re: Damage Condenser] You cannot use "Damage Condenser" to Special Summon a monster whose ATK is variable or undetermined ("King of the Skull Servants", "Maju Garzett", etc.)
