This question regards how multiple Dark Room of Nightmare(s) resolve.
Here's the most recent text:
Each time damage, except Battle Damage, is inflicted to your opponent, inflict 300 damage to your opponent. This card's effect is not applied to the effect of "Dark Room of Nightmare".
Now, I understand that DRoNs will not re-activate in response to their own burn damage (or that of another card named "Dark Room of Nightmare") but it seems to me that if I have 2 out, and I use a Poison of the Old Man (selecting to inflict 800 damage) for example, each DRoN would hit for 300 one time.
I know they are Continuous Spell Cards, but the way the text is worded, they resemble a triggered effect. Do they use the chain (as a Link) or just interrupt it as many Continuous cards do?
The thing that has me perplexed is, let's say I play a Poison of the Old man on a singleton chain, and that one card resolves with no responses. The Dark Rooms won't do anything until the damage actually resolves, but at that point the chain is over. So do they start a new chain in which one is Chain Link 1 and the other is Chain Link 2? This seems unlikely but I don't know what would happen in this scenario.
dark room's damage is a continuous effect, it happens between links after damage has been dealt. (similar to magic thorn doing damage immediatly after the discarding effect)
if you have 2 (or 3) dark rooms active, each will deal 300 damage whenever damage is dealt. so if you have 2, and you do 800 with poison of the old man, they will take an additional 600 damage.
in a single link chain, they do not start a new chain, they resolve immediatly after the effect, before the chain is actually over.
