uhm, I think you are only allowed to put one instant on scepter at a time, let me look it up to make sure though, yeah you can only inmprint one, if you read the card it says 'you may imprint an instant'
anyways some of my favourite cards to put on scepter are
giant growth
predators strike
nourish
ligtning bolt
fork
and there are also lots of blue they go great on it as well
Naw Dragon, Orim's Chant is an instant from planeshift that costs 1 mana. It's main effect is that your opponent cannot play spells for the turn.
Also, if you know anything about the invasion block, you'll know of a little ability called kicker in it, well Orim's Chant has a kicker ability, and yes you can pay kicker, entwine, etc. costs as they come into play from the scepter. Now, this is a nasty little way of putting salt on a wound,Orim's Chant's kicker ability prohibits your opponent from attacking for the turn as well.
you could imprint only ONE instant with 2 or less casting cost too the isochron scepter and you should TAP the scepter to activate the ability thus you could only use the scepter thus duplicate the imprinted card ONCE per turn since it becomes tapped. unless of course you have enough mana (2 generic) and have a way to ubtap the scepter during a single turn to allow you to use it more than once, before your untap phase
I got lucky one draft and pulled a Scepter, Dream's Grip and Icy Manipulator. Drop the Scepter, imprint Grip, tap 1, tap the Manipulator, tap their land. Pay 2, tap the Scepter, rinse and repeat. This was used midgame, btw.
Scepter + Chain of Plasma = Burn ownage. Hmm, I really, really like these two working with each other. I know this isn't really "realistic", but another imprint card. Panoptic Mirror. Panoptic Mirror + Time Walk = You win...Simple as that. Heh, sorry, got off track.
