hello everyone!

i was wondering what the rarity levels meant. I know C = common, and R = Rare but not too sure about U, S, and ST. if you don't know what i'm talking about, look at the lower right-hand corner of the cards. you'll see letters and numbers. i'm just curious about ratios and such so i know how much packs i should get.

also, i've seen items that say something like "Draw:..." and "Main:..." how do i use those? most of the time they say discard them. does that mean i have to put that on my character and then discard it or do i discard it directly from my hand during that phase to activate its affect?

and one more thing. Can events be played on your opponents turn as well?

So far the only event that can be played on your opponent's turn is HALT!.
U= Uber Rare
S= Spirit Rare
ST= Starter Deck
I'm not sure about ratios right now, but I think they have a rough list of them on teh official website.
Could you list the specific items you aretalking about? I think I know what you mean but I want to see the exact ones so I cna help out more

Alright, The Draw and Main words...

Draw Main and Combat are Keywords relating to the three steps of a turn. Draw keyword items can only be used during the draw step, Main Keyword items can only be used during the Main step and Combat Keyword items can only be used during the combat step.

Items that you have to discard can skip straight to your discard pile if you put them next to your arena character and say "I'm using ______'s effect", then discarding that.

Events, unless they say otherwise (Like Halt), cannot be played on your opponent's turn.


Ratioes... here's what we've figured:

Uncommon/Commons: 8:1
Rare: 2:1
Spirit Rare: 1:4
Uber Rare: 1:12
Ghost Rare: 1:24-36 (Unconfirmed...)

Are the rares set up like in YuGiOh where the S rares are shiny pics, U rares are holo pics and words, and G rares have the slasheys? Also, am I reading this right? TWO rares in one pack? 10 card packs?

I'm not sure about the rares but the super rares and up have shiny pictures. Also YES 2 rares in a pack and 10 card packs.:)

hmm...so the way my store has been playing is completely wrong. i see them playing "The Best Defense is" whenever i attack and i'm like "wha??". also, an example of the "Draw:..." card is Tape of the Mission. it states:

Tape of the Mission (Item)
Draw: Discard this item to draw a card.

Now, would I have to equip this item first in my Main phase and then on my next Draw Phase, say i'm discarding it OR do i just discard it straight to my discard pile without ever equipping it to anyone?

No, but its supposedly a starter card that found its way into boosters.

It's kinda wierd, out of me and my friends we've opened 11 packs, and we've gotten 3 Uber Rares... we still don't know how to distinguish a Super or Ghost Rare... has anyone pulled any of these?

Ghost Rares are G#/176, and that's all that's different. Each card basically has a letter (or two letters for tournament cards) and that tells what rarity it is.

So all the holos are slashy like the Ubers?

There are two types of shiny cards, Spirit Rares, Ubers, Ghost Rares, and their tournament versions, those are all jaggy and slashy. The other type is starter deck team members/foil cards, and tournament rares. I think all normal rares (not just tournament rares) should be this type, but oh well.

Cool, so the only way you can tell a Spirit from an uber is the letter at the bottom?
