This is a deck based around survivors. The way to win is simple. Get 3 survivors on the field and play Sigma Tureito for triple breaking action and likely a win.
4x Sigma Tureito
4x Burst Shot
4x Blazaurus Alpha
4x Death Sentence
4x Terror Pit
4x Dark Tiara Gamma
4x Dead Insect Grave Worm Gamma
Blazaurus Alpha: 2 mana 1000 base power, +1000 pwr atker(Survivor ability)
Menacing Masher: 3 mana 2000 base, +1000 to overall pwr(Survivor ability)
Dark Tiara Gamma: 4 mana 1000 base, when this mon atk, opp randomly discards 1 card(Survivor ability)
Dead Insect: 5 mana 3000 base, when this mon is played, put one survivor from grave into hand(Survivor ability)
Sigma Tureito: 6 mana, 9000 evolution (Survivor) creature
Crew Breaker (for each survivor in the battle zone break one shield for each when you atk)
The only other card that needs explaining is Faerie Life. It is 2 mana, and when played you put the top card of your deck into your mana zone. Its a shield trigger to boot.
Look at the natural progression of survivor abilities. A perfect curve. The (20!) shield triggers form a thick wall giving protection while the force develops. When Sigma is played the game usually ends due to a nasty triple or quadruple breaking.
Before I say anything about the deck, what's the Survivor ability?
EDIT: After finding out what Survivor is, I think the deck is very good from the cards you chose but I could give some more input if I knew of other cards in future sets. Still, from the build, looks simple enough and efficient. Although, are you sure you'd be able to make this deck work with three civs? It looks very balanced, and you have some mana accel, not sure...
In playtesting it has yet to lose. 3 civs can work, not like 2 civ decks are the only option. Playing a survivor deck almost demands you need 3 civs for variety. Other card people may not know is Death Sentence: 4 mana shield trigger, your opp chooses a monster in his battle zone and destroys it.
I know 3 civ decks can work already. But still, due to bad hand draws and what not, I'm not sure if it would get off its legs fast enought against a rush. BTW there's no way I could've known that survivors were spread so lightly through different civs.
Each civ has about 3 survivors I believe, but not all of these are satisfactory survivors. The point of this deck is it defends against rush by shield trigger. There are so many shield triggers that they are guaranteed to strike some. and my 2 and 3 survivor drops can also help stop the rush. I will admit I have not faced all possible rush variations, so there may be a combination particularly effective. However my shield triggers so far have either stopped or delayed rush long enough so I can get into mid-game, and Mid-game I tend to overwhelm with my survivor effects and a little survivor rush of my own.
Survivors transfer their survivor abilities to all other survivors so if you have a Blazaurus(Survivor ability of Pwr Atk +1000) and a Menacing Masher Horn(Survivor ability of Atk +1000) then both monsters gain the bonus. So Blazaurus becomes 2000 pwr with +1000 pwr atker, and Menacing Masher Horn becomes 3000 pwr with +1000 pwr attacker.
Speed Attacker just means they can ignore summoning sickness and attack the turn summoned.
No clue what this "slivers" thing is. But this one Japanese (DM) site I'm lookin at describes a deck called "Sliders" Red/Green/Yellow Beatdown/Control it describes it as. This is Red/Green/Black and I guess it could be described as Beatdown/Control though I hate using such limited and inaccurate.
My deck flows like a river and each deck component supports each other. My survivors build in power as they are summoned. They are greater than the sum of their parts. My shields are not merely shields but are my deadliest weapons. If my survivors are my sticks, it is my shields that are the rope tied tightly around my sticks to form a strong, unbreakable bundle. My decks only name is Victory, it is an Invincible Survivor Deck.
I guessed it was something like that :D "Survivor" is a much better name. Sliver? S+Live+r maybe? I don't suppose anyone wants to put one of their JPN decks against mine, lol. Not very hard to brag about having the greatest JPN deck when a total of 5 people in the US play JPN decks. But until then, I can make a living off my (JPN) United States championship title belt, lol.
Not if being powered up by two masher horns. That's ideally what occurs when I have 6 mana. Burst Shot is primarily for use against rush decks that outspeed me, so I don't mind losing a Blazaurus to kill 3 of their creatures if I were to shield trigger activate it. If I successfully play tiara, their hand is usally too drained to continue. Things killed with my own Burst Shot are revived with Grave Worm which is immune to its effects.
The idea with Burst Shot is that my creatures can be revived easier than theirs. Even if we both were to lose 2 creatures, I save time till I can summon my Grave Worm. The Next turn I can summon that Tiara and Blazaurus I sent to the grave because Grave Worm returns them to my hand.
Getting creatures on the field isn't a problem thanks to Worm, therefore all I need to do is stop the opponent from attaining victory before me. Usually I win turn 6-7 thanks to Sigma Tureito w/ Worm setting up. Burst Shot kills what I fear most, small nimble rush creatures that are summoned too quickly to handle.
My deck is invincible because it is designed to win at turn 6-7 before the opponent can get out their late game strategy. My 20 shield triggers prevent rush decks from killing me when I am building my force. Even if my force is destroyed (by spell/shield trigger), Grave Worm summarily revives the force and then kills. Thanks to Grave Worm my force is invincible. Thanks to my shield triggers I cannot be harmed so easily.
The entire premise of the deck is that my shields delay the opponent long enough until my force is built to destroy them utterly. I possess no blockers as you can see. Thus my rididulous numbers of shield triggers stop my enemy. You need time to get through my dense armor plating, but my reinforcements will arrive before then.
I said a bunch, but basically this concept has yet to be bested in actual battle. This deck wins mid-game and is designed to shut early-game down. So far it is undefeated and I doubt that will change anytime soon.
great deck! you sound cocky but you look like you can handle any opposers. anywayz i was curious what the metagame in jpn is. if you kno im sure we could all benefit from it.
Metagame there are quite a few but hear are some of the ones I've seen:
Aquan/Light: Use Aquan to get hand adv (drawing 4-5). Then Use Light evolutions to pound the opponent.
Aquan/Dark: Same premise. Likes to use Ballom sometimes, heavy hand destruction utlizing Skeleton Vice (4 mana, discards 2 randomly)
Beastfolk: This deck is still fairly good. It has some new tricks to utilize tho it still uses Fang and Barkwhip.
Dragon: Forget the Uberdragon...these Dragons evos are deadly triple breakers, and cost a mere 6/7 mana. Kokkia Rupia reduces the cost of dragons by 2...so You can have a dragon evo turn 5 triple breaking shields.
Survivor: This deck uses survivors. No deck I seen has copied my ingenious use of ridiculous numbers of STs to stop the opponent instead relying on a greater quantity of survivors. Regardless Survivors hit you with Sigma and triple+ break your shields. My survivor deck remains invincincible so far to all these types of decks.
Red Rush: Uses Speed Attackers and cards like Mega Detonator (2 mana, discard X cards to turn X Creatures on your field into Double Breakers) or Snake Attack to quickly double break shields. Attacker Exedrive is the most annoying Speed Attacker of the bunch.
Control: Packed with spells this will kill you until you cant be killed any further. Think Base Set 90 card decks, only these are highly evolved versions.
Shield Trigger Deck: A deck using insane number of Shield Trigger spells and monsters. Not an official deck but a possible concept. You can easily make a deck with 20 ST creatures and 20 ST spells if you wanted.
This deck is still invincible and requires challengers. If you have DMZ, lets get it on.
