Squito can stop creatures with a little more power, but he dies after just one block.

Hunter Fish on the other hand can stop lots of stuff over and over. I think Hunter Fish is better, but I just thought I'd ask the DMR community. At Gen Con blocking a Hulcus with a Squito became annoying. I kept thinking... If only squito would survive, I'd have a leg up on the game.

if you want your decision based on our meta over at mayhem, go wit the fish. If i attack with small creatures (everything but my evos) then fish will be blocking. Mike uses marrows and horrids etc. so if its out meta, go wit da fish

on the other hand if your basing it off the nation, consider what was most played. Then decide after that, do u need to stop that one bigger creatures, or take down multiple weenies

well, I like Squito better since I don't run blue that often anymore...

whats cool is using squito if you have jack viper in your deck, but in this case i dont think you do. wills right about the mayhem meta though. play test both and see what works best

I too, have had that question, and i usually use both. After all, my favorite blocker number is 8. However, if your only gonna use 1 of them, use hunter fish. Squito is never gonna block anything with 4000 power anyway.

Hunter fish is an overall better blocker than squito. Most low cost creatures are either 2000 or less. I'd go with the fish. Squito rules over mono dark.

I'd go with Hunter Fish since he has the potential to block more than once. Like someone else pointed out, there's not that many creatures that people like to run that have a power of 4000, but I could be wrong since I have been away for a while.

Hunter fish is better in the early game since he can stick around and block Horrids, Braid claw and other small fry, however if you want a beefier blocker vs. Rothus and other power attackers then add bloody squito.
