chain to a heavy storm: activate 2 poison of the old man, secret barrel, THEN after those chain Emergency Provisions. Would the 2 poisons go through, then the barrel, then would they gain 3000 life points. Would this work.

Chain Link 1: Player B activates Heavy Storm
Chain Link 2: Player B activates Poison of the Old Man; Selects to raise LP by 1200 points.
Chain Link 3: Player B activates Poison of the Old Man; Selects to raise LP by 1200 points.
Chain Link 4: Secret Barrel
Chain Link 5: Emergency Provisions; Sends Secret Barrel, Poison of the Old Man and Poison of the Old Man to the Graveyard.
No other responses or chains, so resolve normally:
Chain Link 5: Emergency Provisions increases Player B's Life Points by 3000.
Chain Link 4: Secret Barrel inflicts damage to Player A equal to the number of cards on his/her side of the field x 200 points.
Chain Link 3: Poison of the Old Man increases Player B's Life Points by 1200 points.
Chain Link 2: Poison of the Old Man increases Player B's Life Points by 1200 points.
Chain Link 1: Heavy Storm destroys all Magic & Trap Cards on the field. (including Emergency Provisions since it does not go to the Graveyard until the Chain Link fully resolves).
It's just simple Chain Linking...unless the card is Continuous or needs to remain face-up on the field when they resolve (like cards that become Equip Cards, for example), then card effects will STILL resolves normally.
yeah dogguy, you had the order of resolution backwards.
also keep in mind that the cards sent to the grave to activate emergency provisions will not count for secret barrel since they aren't on the field when it resolves.

Unless you are talking about another effect I don't know about, here is the text for Secret Barrel
Text
Inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the total number of cards on your opponent's side of the field and in your opponent's hand x 200 points.
He didnt indicate what cards were in his opponents hand or field, so it shouldn't matter what is left on the field when Secret Barrel goes off, since the hand will still count, as well as Heavy Storm still hasn't resolved.
my bad, for some reason i thought secret barrel counted all cards on both sides of the field. so yeah emergency provisions has no bearing on secret barrel.
