Ok say I have 2 Gear Golems, 1 face up and 1 face down. My opponent attacks with a monster my face down gear golem, During the damage step I activate Unity,
Here is my question
does unity also include the monster you target? Meaning does it count his defense at well when it adds up all the defense points to that monster.
Still confused?
would unity add up both defense to the target monster?
Still dont get it?
Would it be
2200+2200=4400 (this is what you get when you add both defenses)+2200 (Original defense of the attacked golem)=6600
or is it
2200+2200= 4400
here is another simple example
If I have just 1 face down Gear golem and I activate unity on him when its attacked would he gain 2200 or does unity's effect only effect monsters beside the monster its targeting

Unity only takes the Defense of all "other" face-up monsters on your side of the field, and does not include the targeted monsters defense in the total before adding. So if you had 1 Destiny Hero - Defender and 1 Big Shield Gardna, and a face-down Sangan, it would add 5300 to Sangan's defense, making it 5900 in the Damage Step.
