3 solemns in this format? not good. way to many people kill themselves off that way. retsu is not chainable so it sucks when mobius hits the field. wave motion for s/t deturent ( saves your d fisure).
if your woried about your fissures going poof, try magic drains instead.
Wow, i get 2 posts all day and it's from a couple of n00bs. Was hoping to have some real opinons, but I guess a person who plays a dedicated RFG engine is a CC monarch player.
Megaman, you've got to be insane. Add Wave Motion of Solemn??? yeah let me negate that Heavy Storm or let it through, hmm which choice. Or I could be an elite player and know how to play my cards.
Taking out Sakuretsu because it isn't chainable, guess I'll remove Mirror Force as well. Wait with your logic, I'll add in scapegoat while I have D.D. Survivor returning every turn so I can lock myself.
Before you decide to call people noobs, you really need to think before you type. It's quite disrespectful and Megaman and Panthergba are both some of the most well respected, great deckbuilder, and duelist of the Realms.
Now for some honest opinions on the deck since we have the formalities out of the way.
I don't see how this is a First-Turn Win because there is probably nothing in this format other than Reversal Quiz Control that can pull a First-Turn Win, but I do see some great stability and power put into this deck.
- Solemn Judgment (We don't want to go overkill on these and drain you LP)
- Widespread Ruin (It's a great card but it looks rather stray)
+ Return from the Different Dimension and/or Dimension Fusion (With Dimensional Fissure removing your monsters from play either could come in handy at bringing back some valuable resources, but Return is the better choice of the 2)
+ Book of Moon (Ya never know when one of these babies comes in handy during a very strung out duel)
Now you have to understand that the same reason why their noobs is the same reason why you posted this deck: "A matter of perspective". You think the deck is good, they think the deck is bad. They offer suggestions which support their point of view, in turn, oppresses your own. If you are not willing to accept paradigm of this nature, I highly suggest that you stop posting on yugiohrealms and another site of with a online forum and community.
Another card to consider is Dark Dust Spirit, since with your survivors, can come out every turn and remove everything from play that face up. Test it out, it may be a nice alternative/addition to a zaborg or mobius.
OK, let me clear a few things up. First, I'll apologize for my previous comments as they were disrespectful and spontaneous. Next, I want point out the reason behind my zeal. I've been on forums for over 3 years, have been a moderator of 3 deck depots including Xerocreative and OB. One of my biggest gripes is people post without thinking about how a deck really works. The interactions each card has with the current metagame as well as the synergy with the deck. I love constructive ideas, since I am far from perfect as a deckbuilder/player. But those ideas should be thought out ahead of time. OK, now onto the sate of the deck.
Yesterday was the first full test for the deck in a Win-a-box tournament. I went 5-0 in Swiss before losing in the finals to back to back clogged hands (first time this happened all day).
Solemn Judgment is absolutly amazing for keeping control of the duel. practice and experience let me use the card effectively so LP's are not a problem.
TyrantDragon06, this deck isn't an OTK, actually I don't think in any combination you could get an OTK out of this deck. FTW actually stands for For The Win! Name is just a catchy thing to get people to look at the deck.
Ruin is being debated, it tested ok yesterday but wasn't game breaking. Also, it's alot harder to get your monsters removed than we all think. Since Survivor returns, and Banisher is only removed once Fissure is out, Return might not be as effective as we think. Though I will test it.
Book of Moon is in the side deck to better help Chirons and Support my triple Decree lineup.
This decks biggest threats are Gravekeeper's Spy and Mobius the Frost Monarch. Spies I can generally outplay, but I think my side deck needs more answers to Mobius. For now I'm going to remove the 2 Horus LV6 and Confiscation until the Gadgets are actually released.
Keep the Solemns. Solemns are underrated and you're right in the fact that a well experienced duelist can tell when a solemn will turn the duel in your favor. You should watch your Life Points though, like someone said in a previous post, your LP will go down faster.
I've been experimenting with the almost constant field presence and effect "immunity" that the Survivor and Scout Plane get and I'm very pleased with the results. I would test out at least one Plane in your build. Swapping one in for a Deko could lessen the pain of getting deko Crossed Out.
Best of luck to you 8.7/10
If you wouldn't mind returning the favor you could R/F my deck: .,;:[{13}]:;,. :in the deck depot. You can also find it in the Portfolio in my signature. Thank you.
I'm not so sure about a Scout Plane here. I don't run enough tributes to really support it effectively. Unless I have fissure out then it's just a vanilla 800ATK. I am however looking to possibly drop 1 Deko. Problem I've found is that it'll make it increasingly hard to side deck.
