Here, I'm going to post certain concerns I have for specific cards. If you have any opinion towards these issues ... PLEASE post.
DONE = Issue Resolved , :mad: = Not Yet Resolved
DONE (1) [PGD-083] Different Dimension Capsule
- After this card is activated, it remains face-up on the field until your 2nd Standby Phase. Select 1 card from your Deck, then shuffle your Deck. Remove it from play and place face-down. During your 2nd Standby Phase, destroy this card and add the removed card to your hand.
Scenerio:
1) I activate this card and select Exodia the Forbidden One as the card that is removed from play.
Question(s):
1a) Can my opponent destroy this card before my two turns are completed? Yes.
1b) If he can destroy this card, does Exodia the Forbidden One remain out of play? Yes.
DONE (2) [PGD-106] Nightmare Wheel
- Select 1 monster. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected monster cannot attack or change its battle position except by the effect of a Magic, Trap or Effect Monster Card. This card inflicts 500 points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. When the selected monster is destroyed or removed from the field, this card is also destroyed.
Question(s):
1) Can I designate my own monster with this card? No. This is because the revised text on this card reads, "Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field."
2) Can I designate a face-down monster with this card? Yes.
DONE (3) [SDY-040] Waboku
- Any damage inflicted by an opponent's monster is decreased to 0 during the turn this card is activated.
Scenerio:
1) My opponent activates Mystical Space Typhoon during his/her Main Phase.
2) My opponent attacks my Giant Soldier of Stone (Defence Position) with Big Eye. I activate Waboku.
Question(s):
1) Can I activate this card as a chain before it's destroyed by Mystical Space Typhoon? Yes.
2) Is my opponent's battle damage neglected or does he take 2000 damage to his life points? Neither. Giant Soldier of Stone will receive 0 damage, while the controller of Big Eye will receive 800 damage for attacking a monster with a defense higher than the attacking monster.
DONE (4) [LOD-063] Twin-Headed Behemoth
- If this monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, this monster is Special Summoned with an ATK and DEF of 1000 during the End Phase of the turn. This effect can be used only once during the current Duel.
Scenerio:
1) My opponent activates Card Destruction. Twin-Headed Behemoth is discarded.
Question(s):
1) Can this card be special summoned to the field with its effect? No, because discarding is not the same as being destroyed.
DONE (5) [PGD-052] Pharaoh's Treasure
- After activation, put this card face-up in your Deck and shuffle it. When you draw this card, it is immediately sent to the Graveyard. Then add 1 card in your Graveyard (except this card) to your hand.
Scenerio:
1) I draw a face-up Pharaoh's Treasure while I have another Pharaoh's Treasure in my Graveyard.
Question(s):
1) Can I use one Pharaoh's Treasure's effect to bring back another? Yes.
DONE (6) [AST-106] Desert Sunlight
- All monsters on your side of the field are changed to face-up Defense Position.
Scenerio:
1) I have a face-down Man-Eater Bug while I activate this card. The Man-Eater Bug is flipped from face-down defense to face-up defense.
Question(s):
1) Is Man-Eater Bug's effect activated? Yes.
DONE (7) [LOB-101] Swords of Revealing Light
- Counting from your opponent's turn, none of your opponent's monsters can attack for 3 turns of his/her own. When this card is activated, opponent's face-down monsters at that time are turned face-up, but remain in Defense Position. Any effects the monsters may have are immediately activated.
Question(s):
1) Once activated, can this card be negated (e.g., Spell Canceller?) Yes.
2) Once activated, can this card be destroyed (e.g., Dust Tornado?) Yes.
DONE (8) [PSV-076] The Legendary Fisherman
- When "Umi" is face-up on the field, this card is unaffected by any Magic Cards and cannot be attacked by your opponent's monster.
Scenerio:
1) I have a face-up Legendary Fisherman on the field, along with a Legendary Ocean.
Question(s):
1) Since this monster cannot be attacked, can the opponent attack my life points directly, when I have no other monsters on the field? Yes.
DONE (9) [DR1-EN136] Cat's Ear Tribe
- The original ATK of your opponent's monster(s) that battles with this card during his/her turn becomes 200 points during the Damage Step.
Scenerio:
1) Umi is on the field. My opponent attacks my Cat's Ear Tribe (Attack Position) with a Penguin Soldier.
Question(s):
1) Are both monsters destroyed? No, only Cat's Ear Tribe is destroyed. This is because Penguin Soldier still gets a boost from Umi.
DONE (10) [DR1-EN136] Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
- If this card attacks or is attacked by an opponent's monster you can return both monsters to their owner's hands at the start of the Damage Step (without damage calculation).
Scenerio:
1) I attack my opponent's Dark Ruler Ha Des with this monster.
Question(s):
1a) Do I take any damage to my life points? No, because battle damage is not calculated.
1b) Is Neo-Spacian Grand Mole destroyed? No, because both monsters return to their respected owner's hand.
DONE (11) [STON-EN050] Hero Medal
- When this Set card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard by a card effect controlled by your opponent, shuffle this card into the Deck. Then draw 1 card.
Scenerio:
1) I set this card in my Spell / Trap Zone. Immediately, my opponent activates Dust Tornado.
Question(s):
1) Is the effect of this card activated even though it has not been set for an entire turn? Yes.
DONE (12) [STON-EN050] Swarm of Scarabs
- You can flip this card into face-down Defense Position once per turn during your Main Phase. When this card is Flip Summoned, destroy 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field.
Question(s):
1) Is the effect of this face-down card activated when it is attacked and destroyed? No, because it needs to be flip summoned.
2) Can I set this card back into face-down defense position during the same turn I flip summon it? Yes.
:mad: (13) [LOD-EN088] Blast with Chain
- After activation, this card is treated as an Equip Card that increases the ATK of the equipped monster by 500 points. Equip a monster on your side of the field with this card. If this card is destroyed by the effect of another card while it is an Equip Card, select 1 card on the field and destroy it.
Scenerio:
1) I activate this card and equip it onto my Don Zaloog. I then tribute Don Zaloog for Dark Ruler Ha Des.
Question(s):
1) Is the effect of this card activated?
1a) Yes, your opponent can certainly play Mystical Space Typhoon or any other Spell/Trap destruction card to destroy DDC before the two turns are up.
1b) If DDC is destroyed, your Exodia remains in the RFP zone until the end of the duel. Since it was placed face down, it is ineligible to be special summoned via Dimension Fusion / Return from the Different Dimension, but it will give you an extra 300 ATK boost for Gren Maju Da Eiza since Gren Maju counts cards in the RFP zone, not monsters, spells, etc.
Nightmare Wheel:
1) Sure. Nightmare Wheel only designates a monster, so it can be any face up monster on the field.
Another note about Nightmare Wheel is that the targeted monster doesn't have to be face-up. Targeting a face-down monster with it is perfectly legit, since it isn't one of those "equip" traps. This ruling comes from netrep:
You can target a face-down monster for "Nightmare Wheel".
Concerning Waboku, yes, you can chain it. It doesn't have any specific activation time, meaning that you can activate it during your opponent's phase as long as it has been down a turn.
for concern #4, discarded =/= destroyed. discarding a card will not activate the effect of a monster that must be destroyed (twin headed behemoth, sacred phoenix, vampire lord, etc)
To answer your question #5, yes you can target the other "Pharoah's Treasure" if you would choose to although I don't see the full purpose for it.
Try posting a different thread for different questions so that it will be easier to sort through. if you have multiple questions, you should post them all at one go, not add them on one by one.
Yes, Nightmare Wheel has a new errata. It reads like this:
Quote
Nightmare Wheel (Pharaonic Guardian, Dark Revelation vol.1)
Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected monster cannot attack or change its battle position. During each of your Standby Phases, this card inflicts 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. When the selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.
