OMG: can it be real. a dark world deck that doesnt play morphing jar. well there is a reason to that. I dont want my opponent to draw 5 new cards.
To start off with, When I first built this deck I did have morphing jar in the deck. after play testing this deck I found that it doesnt work well with morphing jar. sure I get my dark world monsters effects but my opponent gets 5 cards and I dont know what they are.
Here is my deck
Monsters
Goldd Wu-lord of dark world x3
Sillva warlord of dark world x3
cyber dragon x3
Beiige Vangaurd of Dark World x3
Broww Huntsman of Dark World x3
Spirit Reaper
Magician of Faith
Sangan
Breaker the magical warrior
Don zaloog
spells
Dragged down to the grave x3
confiscation
D.D. Designator x2
graceful charity
pot of avarice
card destruction
dark world lightning x3
mystical space typhoon
heavy storm
scapegoat
traps
mirror force
torrential tribute
ring of destruction
mind crush x2
deck devastation virus x2
as you can see the point of this deck is not to be as reckless as all other dark world deck. I want to control my opponents options using cards like don reaper mind crush dd designator and confiscation. the great part is that dragged down to the grave has two roles in this deck. the first is to get a dark worlds effect off. the second is to see the opponents hand making cards like dd designator and mind crush more effective. I also use deck devastation virus for this as well.
front game means before I have to many cards. basically it is Reno's term for the first few rounds. This deck slow plays and even then it doesnt do it that well.
also this deck prefers to go second.
I was also thinking of dropping sangan because I dont have many targets to search out. none of my low atk monsters are really important to the strategy. I was also thinking of adding in two copies of giant orc for the DDV's
I always feel that DW should have a Morphing Jar because of the huge drops you can do. Also, you can always creature swap them the Jar and hit it to trigger Goldd/Silva effects. Brron can also help you out greatly.
just to let you know morphing jar isn't needed in this deck. The main focus of this deck is to use cards that control my opponents options. if I can take out there key cards then they dont have a chance. but if I take out the key cards to the strategy and then turn around and flip morphing jar I give them five new resources.
and the morphing jar creature swap combo is really cool when it goes off but really the only time it will ever go off the way you want it to is if you have two sillva in your hand. my point being that it is very situational. I might add it in once regulis reaper is released but till then morphing doesnt make the cut.
bronn might make the cut but I still am a bit iffy on that card.
