Maybe you should try something like the above. My changes are in Italic.

Please keep in mind there are 3 Basic Engines to a Monarch Theme deck aka Soul Control.

1.) Apprentice Magician
2.) Hydrogedon
3.) Soul Exchange

Because of the 3 themes, they can offer the widest pool of contrast in our Metagame. While each directly supports the Tribute summoning of the Monarch class, each would require completely different lines of support along with each of them being effected differently by signature cards. While the Hydrodegon support is nearly untouched by Deck Devastation Virus, your Apprentice Magician support would be torn apart. That’s just food for thought.
