i was thinking about throwing together a deck revolving around IRS...i'm thinking of running machines with a lot of protection. something like:
3x cyber dragon
3x proto (obvious reason being IRS)
3x marauding captain
3x x head
2x y
2x z
3x heavy mech support platform
2x dekoichi
2x frontline base
1x limiter removal
some fusion bonds/polys
giant trunade
typical spell lineup for the rest
2x roll out
2x saku
mirror force
call of the haunted
ring
2x dust tornado
fusion deck:
cyber ends
cyber twins
2x all the xyz combos
basic idea, special summon cybers with irs + proto or pieces of xyz and use frontline base to special summon unions to get the fusion monsters. i plan on using heavy s/t removal so i don't have to worry about losing my monsters quickly,a nd will have smashings, noblemans, etc. maybe even bottomless' so when they summon with IRS they lose all of their newly summoned ones.
ideas on if this could run? i'm not really looking for fixes (that'd be in the deck depot), just thoughts/ideas on the general idea.
You could also try using direct attackers like Amphibious Bugroth MK-3 (maybe add in Levia-Dragon as well, just to be cool and maybe that 1900 atker that fetches A Legendary Ocean (it is coming out in Force of the Breaker)) with IRS.
Injection Fairy Lily might win you the game.
+ Magician's Circle x2 or x3
+ Giant Rat x3 (to further fetch IFL)
Cold Wave might be the next Trunade, so consider using that to avoid getting Sak'd, Controll'd, or whatnot.
If you are using Cyber Dragon, then you might consider using Metamorphosis (to get a Reaper on the Nightmare on the field). It would be nice if you could use IRS on Reaper on the Nightmare, but I don't think they mean Fusion Deck when they say you can retrieve a monster from your Deck.
I'll agree with Twiggy that this deck took a big hit when Last Will got limited.
Given any thought to Serpentine Princess or Batteryman AA? It'd require you to go in a different direction than machines, but it would be interesting...
If you're planning on IRS-ing XYZ stuff you should probably run three, but that's kinda funky.
Marauding Captain is often the go-to guy for IRS shenanigans, so maybe some support for him? RotAs probably.
The deck needs 3 Last Will, 3 IRS, 2 Toon Cannon Soldier, 3 Toon Table, etc. in order to work. The idea would be then to bring out Solar Flare Dragons, Stealth Bird, Scarabs, Locusts, Lacooda, etc. in order to generate some kind of advantage. The main focus should be Solar Flare and Stealth Bird since the whole idea is to actually win with the deck and not just summon a bunch of crap for it to then get owned.
IRS decks suck right now. Last Will should get unlimited now that Stein is banned. If you guys are scared of that idea then quit because it won't make that great of an impact on the game anyway.
