Just Yesterday i was discussing deck ideas with a friend of mine and he mentioned he was tinkering with some soft of hybrid mix using Reasoning as an Engine to summon powerful monsters early and frequently. I did not approve of the idea. I admit i was being very skeptical...but he suggested that if i want to see how effective it is that i should take the deck and play it myself. In turn, he was given my deck (A Monarch Swap Build) to duel with against his own. Surprisingly I won with the deck vwry quickly. I managed to summon Jinzo along with a Majestic Mech - Goryu to end the duel.
The deck is combo-oriented so i am very curious as to how well it can do in the new format with Graceful and Last Will gone for good.
Note* the deck was in accordance with the NEW ban list.
If anyone has some suggestions on what could help such a deck out please give any thoughts and opinions you may have.
i checked out ur deck list and i dont really think that u have too many tributes in the deck, but i DO however think that u have too many TWO tribute monsters in the deck.
two sacred chickens is enough. Were playtesting to see if one or two Dashers is enough. Also my friend runs two copies of Spear Cretin, which did wonders. Also he ran Majestic Mech Goryu to deal with defense monsters. The decklist the two of you have are very very different.
My last time at regionals my team mate josh was facing off against a deck like this. Expect it was more centered around using about 6 more tribtue monsters along with Mausoleum of the Emperor. That allowed for a fast and steady pace of monsters to flood the field, one after the other, after the other.
In order to keep your hand from being filled with monsters u cant tribute-why dont we figure out which two tribute monsters are absolutley essential, so that the deck can survive in the upcoming meta.
Majestic Mech Goryu does well as does Mystical Knight of Jackal......
I think Sacred Phoenix of Nephtys is essential as is a copy of Dark Magician of Chaos. What other two tribute monsters do u think is essential in the monster lineup?
The deck was modified from having a mobius, guardian sphinx, and an ultimate tyrano. I changed it because that deck was built to take on recruiter decks.
Does he use monster gate? I think if your running a tribute heavy deck gate works well. You can combo it with goats, stray lambs, brain control, soul exhange and snatch steal. All of which are cards that would probably be in that deck anyway.
Also a hero emerges is an easy way to summon big monsters to the field.
I never tried to build a competitive deck around big monsters so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.
Reasonable Gate decks thrive with Diamond Dude. Getting a free gate into a massive 8star behemoth (no pun intended) is a force of advantage to be reconed with.
Definitely try out Sacred Cranes and The Creators. You Special Summon a Sacred Crane and you get to draw a card. The Creator can also revive fallen big monsters. Also, consider running a Fusilier Dragon. I'm making one of these decks myself and I've heard they're really fun to mess around with.

I gots to build me one of these... I just read the feature match on metagame with the guy using the destiny hero deck and I like the sound of it.
I went to the Sneak Peak for STON in NY yesterday and i had ALOT of fun testing out my own version of the deck. I dueled against CC Chimera OTK decks and CC Gadget decks also Two Variants of Dark World decks...and i Cleaned the floor with them. There was nothin more exciting than playing reasoning and the very next card i draw is a Sacred Phoenix :D . Because the deck runs such a variety of levels in the monster lineup there is no real way my opponent can began to make educated guesses as to which level i declare. Dashers effect is GOLD. However the deck does need more work because I got my butt handed to me by a well built Monarch-Control Deck.
I also have read the decklist on metagame and i was surprised by so much american use of the D-heroes. I DEF want to experiment with Diamond Dude.
currently my heavy hitters include:
Jinzo
Sacred Phoenix
Ultimate Tyranno
and
Experimenting with
Brain Crusher Insect 7/2400/1500
Once per turn, if this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle and sent it to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 of those destroyed monsters from the Graveyard during the End Phase.
