1) I activate bait doll on my opp's face down mst
2) mst is force activated but being a spell it has no effect and is flipped face down
3) AFTER its flipped face down by Bait Doll, my opp' decides to chain the mst to destroy my Bait Doll, destroying it and stopping it from returning to my deck.
now my question is, since the second effect of bait doll (flipping spells face down) has just resolved, wont Bait Doll have already returned to the deck and gone out of the jurisdiction of MST's Effect?
Bait dolls effect will still be played because it wasn't negated. So it will shuffle into the deck, and mst will be gone because they wasted it.
Example, you activate card destruction your opponent chains mst to destroy it, but you still get the effect.
Yes, i know it doesnt negate anything. i was asking, if it destroys bait doll before the effect resolves then will bait doll be shuffled back into my deck?
Just like with every other card, once they have fully resolved they go straight to the graveyard (in Bait Dolls case, the deck). But either way, MST wouldnt be able to target the same card after anyway because its already been resolved and sent to the grave.

Player 1 activates Bait Doll on Player 2's face down Mystical Space Typhoon. Neither player chains to Bait Doll. Player 2 flips his face down Mystical Space Typhoon face up to reveal it isn't a trap card. Mystical Space Typhoon is returned to its original face down position on the field. Bait Doll continues to resolve and is now shuffled back into the owner's deck (Player 1). At this point Player 2 can't activate his Mystical Space Typhoon and target Player 1's Bait Doll since it was shuffled back into his deck and isn't on the field.
Yes, we established that yesterday, but thank you anyway.
No, you guys didn't. Everyone didn't catch the fact that you can't MST the Bait Doll after it flipped the MST. Dark Duelist82 didn't even give the correct answer anyway. Neither did Dawnroyfire.
Read their answers and compare it to mine. Huge difference.
Ok, let me rephrase that. I established that yesterday after i read the official ruling and thought about it for a hour or two (3 days without sleep sucks)
Either way, you now have a pure legitimate answer from someone with experience.
Mr. McHale, I'm sure you have the necessary experience as well. I don't believe you would be a Metagame Staff writter if you weren't. You just worded the answer wrong to me. That's all. =)
