can u use his effect during your opponents turn? it does not state and i dont know for sure.

No, you may not use it's effect on your opponent's turn.

It would say that you may use it during you or your opponent's turn, just like Strike Ninja.

Actually that isn't quite correct. Peten doesn't say it has to be used on your turn, and it can be special summoned by removing the one that was sent to the grave during your opponents turn. I would assume Malicious would be the same way. But that is just my opinion, and I haven't seen any rulings for it yet so if anyone has an answer from, say the judges forum, please post the link here for us to resolve this matter.

Nothing offical, but Peten the Dark Clown text starts with "When this card is sent to your Graveyard, you can remove this card from the Graveyard ......". To me, says Peten has an optional trigger effect whenever it is sent to the graveyard. Destiny Hero - Malicious' effect, "By removing from play this card while it's in your Graveyard...", reads more like an ignition effect, the kind you can only activate during your own main phases.

It is official. Malicious is a Ignition Effect.



At recent tournament, a player special summoned Malicious during his
opponent's battle phase.

I would have ruled that you could only use his effect during your own
main phase 1 or 2 because it was an ignition effect, not a multi-trigger
and there was no wording to indicate that you could activate it during your
opponent's turn.

Is my assumption correct, or are there pending errata/rulings for this card that
indicates that it is a multi-trigger effect?

The effect of "Destiny Hero - Malicious" is an Ignition Effect. You can only activate its effect during your Main Phase 1 or Main Phase 2.
