When i special summon the monster to the field using reasoning or monster gate, may i summon that monster in face up defense mode? or does it have to be face up attack mode?

another quick question regarding Solemn Judgment.

Player A: Normal summons monster
Player B: Activates Solemn judgment, negates the summon.

Can player A normal summon again? If the summon is negated, does it mean that the normal summon never occurred? I'm not 100% sure. Thanks ahead of time!

Yes, you may special summon the monsters for both cards in defense mode.

And you may not summon again after being negated and destroyed by Solemn Judgement.

...just to be clear, you can not negate the summon with Solemn Judgment. You could however negate the activation of the spell cards (Reasoning/Monster Gate).
