Can Maryokutai and A-Team: Trap Disposal Unit tribute themselves while Skill Drain is active on the field?

I know that one can tribute Exiled Force and Cannon Soldier for their effects while Skill Drain is on the field because they resolve in the graveyard. I assume this same logic is applied to Maryokutai/A-Team: Trap Disposal Unit and other cards that include an effect of tributing themselves.

"Skill Drain" does not prevent the effects from activating, just prevents its resolution if the monster is face-up on the field at the resolution of the effect...well, if the monster activates and resolves its effect while being face-up o the field to be exact.

In your two examples, they would be able to get past Skill Drain. =)
