To all our judges and such, do you think there is any chance that Dark Hole would ever come off the banned list? Just checking.

it's been on, off, and back on again. so i guess there's a CHANCE that it may come back. it's really more of a strategy card than people realize. unless you draw it on your first turn and you went second. i like it, so i'm hoping maybe.

I'm not a judge, but I'm 99% certain that Dark Hole won't be coming back anytime soon. Clearing the entire field without any sort of cost or activation requirement is just broken. It would make many of the weaker monster removal cards (Smashing Ground, Lightning Vortex etc) completely obsolete. This is not a card that is healthy for the game.

The only reason I'm asking is that I have been holding onto a White Hole for about 5 years now. Someone on the trade thread is actually looking for one, but I'm not sure if I want to trade it or not. Even when Dark Hole was active, I think I only put the White Hole in 1 deck, and then can only remember actually using it 1 time. Guess I'll give it some more thought.

I think you should trade the White Hole, RevBill.

Or hold onto the White Hole. Even if you have no need for it, its still a pretty rare card and good for a collection.

Dark Hole's position on the banlist is meaningless (since it will never go past restricted) when regarding White Hole. It's garbage, except for Collectors. So go trade it.

I doubt it will ever come back ever.

I believe that it has a 95% chance of it ever coming off the list and onto the restricted list.

if you had posted a thread 6 months ago asking what the chances of snatch steal coming back into the game I would have said 0%

Of course I also would have been wrong. Now I personally would hate the return of dark hole(and it would prob come at the loss of mirror force which is 100x more balanced) but I wouldnt put it in the realm of impossibility.

lets all hope that doesnt happen.

Dark Hole can't come back anymore, it would break crystal beasts.

The Crystals need the little pick-me-up after all the nerfing with dumb rulings. It seems almost every rule is against them.

The point I was making was the ban list is completely unpredictable. 6 months ago I never dreamed they would unban the uber broken snatch steal and they did. So its imposiible to predict whether or not a card will come off the list.

Of course there are cards we would like to see stay on there forever(dark hole being one of them) but you just never know.
