If you use Call of the Haunted to bring back Jinzo, does he live or die? Jinzo negates a trap that keeps him alive. But Haunted only destroys Jinzo if Call is DESTROYED. So what happens?

Jinzo will negate CotH and CotH will sit meaningless on the field.

call can bring jinzo back. then when jinzo hits the field, he negates call. he stays summoned, but if jinzo is destroyed, call sits meaninglessly.

This question stems from the following thought pattern:
Call does NOT keep jinzo alive. Once a monster is on the field he stays there until something else makes him leave the field. Call does 3 things at 3 specific times:
1) summon the monster WHEN call resolves.
2) destroy the monster WHEN call leaves the field.
3) destroy itself WHEN the monster is destroyed.

It doesn't anything unless one of those WHEN's occur. So negating call after the monster is summoned does not kill the monster. In fact, doing so breaks the ties between call and the monster, and events 2 and 3 NEVER happen. Even if call is no longer negated later, the connection is gone.
