When Dark World monsters are discarded via effect, when they hit the grave and activate individually, are they considered seperate links in a chain?
example-
I have Card Destruction, Goldd, Broww, and Beiige.
I activate Card Destruction, discarding my hand and then drawing 3 cards.
At this point, (I think) Goldd's, then Broww's, then Beiige's effect will go off, but not necessarly in that order.
Would their effects be considered different links?
If i've explained it wrong, I apologize but hopefully someone will get what i'm trying to say.
If these monsters are discarded by a card effect in the middle of a chain, or in the middle of a card effect like “Dragged Down into the Grave”, their effects will activate after the current chain resolves. They cannot miss the timing.
You would select the order in which each effect would resolve.
Yes but are they considered links...like with my example, would they end up being a chain link of 4??
Of course, thats why I said you would choose what order in which to resolve them, it's impossible for 2 different effects that will resolve in one single chain link.
here's a question i've been wondering, if you use, like in his example, card destruction, and discard multiple Dark world monsters AND have Card of safe Return on the field...does Card of Safe Return's effect start a seperate chain? and do you get to draw a card for each dark world monster Special summoned, or is it only one, since they've been special summoned through the same chain?
Card of Safe return has an optional trigger effect, so the last thing that would have to occur is that a monster is special summoned to the field. So if you had a chain of several Dark World monsters, you would only get a chance to draw after the last one is special summoned.
However, there is also the secondary effects of Dark World monsters to consider as well. If the last monster special summoned is Goldd and his secondary effect (destroying cards on the field) resolves immediately after the summoning, you have also missed the timing for CoSR.
