When cards that do something based off original atk target a trap monster, would the original atk be the atk it says it'd have once its been special summoned onto field? I only ask because one might say thats not its "original" atk, because it was "originally" a trap...

I would wager the same applies other "Trap Monster" cards unless the text says otherwise.
