If my opponent attacks my face-up Jinzo with say, Evil Hero Malicious Edge, and I activate Book of Moon on my own Jinzo while chaining Dimensional Prison to it. Would that work? In other words my opponent can't call back the attack since the number of monsters on the field didn't change, just a position right? If this does work that means Jinzo can't negate Traps, my opponent can't call back the attack, and Malicious Edge falls victim to my Dimensional Prison.
If it does work, is it all worth it in your opinion?
I think you would have to activate Book Moon first on Jonzo, then activate Dimensional Prison, so the chain would go like this
Dimensional Prison >>> Book of Moon >>> Attack
BTW, in my opinion, you could've just activated Book of Moon on Malicous Edge's attack to flip Malicious face down, then destroy next turn w/ Jinzo. Unless you needed it removed from play for some reason.

I meant that in my first post, starting with the bold. Unless I activated Dimensional Prison first, then Book of Moon. But I'm sure Jinzo would negate my trap right away.
And yeah, I asked this in the situation that I needed to remove my opponents monster from play. I merely used Evil Hero Malicious Edge as an example.
Book of moon -> D-prison
Book of moon hasn't resolved so you can't chain d-prison with the active jinzo, so this is an illegal play.
D-prison -> book of moon
D-prison can't be activated with an active jinzo, so its an illegal play.
Either way you are making an illegal play, since in neither case can a trap card be activated before jinzo is face-down. And if you let book resolve, you miss the chance to activate D-prison.
these plays work with decree, because decree lets you activate traps, it only negates their resolution. So MST chaining to a trap works. but jinzo prevents activation of traps, so it simply never works. But don't feel bad, I saw a judge get this very thing wrong at a regionals last weekend with MF and Book on jinzo.
Jinzo Effect Monster
DARK / Machine / 6 Stars
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1500
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, Trap Cards cannot be activated. The effects of all face-up Trap Cards are negated.

I'm aware of that, thank you. But I just wondered if using my own Book of Moon on my own Jinzo, flipping it face down and therefore no more active effect. Then activating Dimensional Prison for (in the example) Evil Hero Malicious Edge getting removed, was a good idea. But I guess Blue was right, I can't do that.
You cannot do what your asking Dimensional Prison has a very strict timing activation which is at the declaration of the attack, So you cannot in response to the attack with book of moon let it resolve, then activate Dimensional Prison, Timing at this point would not be correct.

Yeah, felt a bit discouraged by all this. I got excited for nothing, lol.
Don't stress it. Like I said, even the judge at last weekends regionals got it wrong. Just remember that Jinzo is continuous. As long as he is face-up, you can't even activate a trap card. In those chains, jinzo remains active during all points at which you would have to activate D-prison, hence you can't make the play.
