Back from a long hiatus of playing the game/creating decks and posting them on here, I'm back with a new deck or two.
The Deck: Bushi Control Deck - 42
Monsters - 14
3 Gearfried, the Iron Knight
3 Zombyra the Dark
3 Exiled Force
3 The Immortal Bushi
2 Dark Grepher
Spells - 15
2 Allure of Darkness
2 Reinforcements of the Army
1 Heavy Storm
3 Shrink
3 Smoke Grenade of the Thief
1 Monster Reborn
2 Book of Moon
1 Premature Burial
Playing Smoke Grenade on the first turn with gearfried is brutal. I think that it would be fun to play both chains as well. When playing Oppression, you should stay away from using your own special summon cards.
I've been working on a deck very similar to this for a while now, I haven't been able to get the line up I like though, but this looks pretty good (problem is I'm kind of stuck on Silent Swordsman and am sort of throwing him into the mix)
Maybe Warrior Returning Alive instead of Premature Burial and Monster Reborn... or just for the Premature Burial. There are a few cards that sort of work against each other here and I could see some dead draws.
I haven't playtested it much. I have played against DAD, Lightsworn, and Gladiator Beasts so far, it has had spectacular matches against all 3 (2-0, 2-0, 2-0).
I was thinking a while back when I did play Immortal Bushi rather unsuccessfully (I've recently wanted to try again), I didn't like drawing into them. But I also noticed I got 1 or 2 in the graveyard pretty easily. 3 Immortal Bushi seems excessive to me, especially because it's best put in the grave. 1 is obviously too few with all the Crows flying around. I'd recommend dropping 1 Immortal Bushi.
I think it would be good to add in a Foolish Burial. I've also been thinking about trying Jain, Lightsworn Paladin as a way to speed through the deck and potentially ditch a Immortal Bushi. That kind of kills Allure of Darkness and Skill Drain though. But, I'm not necessarily sure how I feel about those 2 cards. I'm kind of digging Reckless greed and extra removal.
Don Zaloog and Smoke Grenade of the Thief would add an interesting aspect. However, I think this deck is best suited to use as much 1 for 1 removal as possible. I'd try that kind of deck for fun with Drastic Drop Off.
I've been tinkering with the build, going to mess around a bit and add a lot of 1 for 1 removal in the spells and some Bottomless Trap Hole/Dimension Prison in the traps.
Will update the list when I have everything hammered out.
