Deck Lockdown:
Neither player can add cards to their hand except by drawing them, and cannot Special Summon monsters from the Deck. Destroy this card during your 2nd Standby Phase after activation.
I wondering if anyone is using this. I use at my local this weekend and side against both GB and teleDaD. I found too very effectived. In game 2 and 3 every time I drop it down on turn one after I summon my stardust out and it turn to GG almost everytime (loss once.) TeleDad players comment the most saying "I can't move for two turns." They compare it to Cold Wave. So tell me what you think?
its pretty good. but the thing i would see as why most people dont use it is that most people iether use alot of searchers like stratos, and rota or Glads. lol i can see how it would make for great tech though. i personally would rather use thunderking overall, but thats just me.
edit: plus, it could be easily nuked by a number of cards these days. i didnt realise it had to stay like swords. thats prob the main reason it doesnt see play.

that why I drop Solemn and Stardust next to it game killer i'm telling you
Also, one neat thing about it is, if you skip your 2nd Standby Phase, you don't have to destroy it (to my understanding), but I believe this can only be done by Soloman's Lawbook.
Except neither one can nor shouldn't be relied upon for its protection; Solemn Judgment makes you much more vulnerable LP-wise while Stardust Dragon is pretty much "once-per-turn" because of needing to Tribute itself and not coming back until the End Phase.
Anyways;
1.) It's a Continuous Card. Many people rarely like Continuous Cards (or any Magic or Trap Card that requires itself to stay face-up on the field to work) unless it has some broken or abusive effect. Or at least some sort of self-protection effect like Rainbow Ruins.
2.) It hits both players. Unless you use a Deck where you don't search out things from the Deck and/or Special Summon from the Deck (which not many DON'T do such things), then you can end up just as hurt as the opponent could be. Though, hopefully, people won't be so dumb to do something like that, lol.
3.) It kills itself during your 2nd Standby Phase, so it doesn't even give you any "long-range" protection like some other things do.
4.) It's really just a card that'd potentially hit 1-2 Decktypes. And that's assuming it manages to STAY out for the duration of those 2 turns. Chances are, as said, it could easily end up destroyed that same turn if not the next turn.
...it IS a fun sidedeck card (I used it quite a bit when Gladial Beasts were #1), but still requires a bit of careful thought, especially in terms of how it'd interact with your Decktype and not just the opponent's.
EDIT: Yes, it does stay on the field, but that'd also mean you'd have to sacrifice Deckspace JUST for 1-3 copies of Solomon's Lawbook, which would really serve no other real purpose besides getting Deck Lockdown to stay on the field. It wouldn't make it any less vulnerable to removal and whatnot.
[Re: Destiny Hero - Doom Lord] If your 2nd Standby Phase is skipped by the effect of a card like "Solomon's Lawbook", then the removed monster will never return to play.
[Re: Dust Barrier] If you skip your second Standby Phase with "Solomon's Lawbook", etc., then "Dust Barrier" remains on the field and its effect continues to apply.
[Re: Mirage of Nightmare] If your Standby Phase is skipped because of "Solomon's Lawbook", etc., do not discard for "Mirage of Nightmare".
[Re: Swords of Concealing Light] If your second Standby Phase after activation of "Swords of Concealing Light" is skipped with "Solomon's Lawbook", etc., then "Swords of Concealing Light" is not destroyed and remains active on the field until removed from the field by another effect.
[Re: Wave-Motion Cannon] If the Standby Phase is skipped with "Solomon's Lawbook" or the turn is skipped with "Gamble", increase the count for "Wave-Motion Cannon" anyway.
I use in my Tele Monarch (TeleDaD without dad) sidedeck in game two or three I like to drop a big move like Stardust than in main phase two drop it and as many solemns next to it as i can. That way it only freeze my deck for a turn and the other player for two. Because that what i believe players need to do now in order to win. Freeze your opponent's for one to two turns and use those turns to force a game state that to can way or one that can force the opponent in territory that they do not want to enter.
Yeah, but sadly, the amount of ways of stopping such top Decks (at least in ways that people would actually use in today's game) is really low compared to the things being attempted to stop; another reason why various cards/Decktypes are underestimated or not used at all *sigh* u_u
Now if it were a different Decktype winning like...VWXYZ, then the chances are a lot different, lol.
i used to side this but i took it out because when i found my prohibitions now that prohibition is terrible with the new rulings it is worth side consideration but glad is mosty dead
