Now normally I don't take top tier or used to be top tier decks and re-create them but with the upcoming Upper Deck Day and since getting a Crush, 2 DAD's, 3 Malicious, 3 D Draw and another Allure is about just as much money as buying a cheap desktop computer, I decided to go with a more affordable competitive deck. What I decided to do was take GB and add different elements to it to counter the nasty problems DAD decks can drop on it Game 1 then side into anti-special summon negation for 2 and 3 since it's really the deck's biggest weakness.
Extra Deck:
3x GB Gyzarus
3x GB Herkalinos
2x Stardust Dragon
1x Red Dragon's Archfiend
2x Goyo Guardian
1x Black Rose Dragon
1x Iron Chain Dragon
1x Thought Ruler Archfiend
1x Psychic Lifetrancer (will replace with Arms Aid when I get it)
Side Deck:
1x GB Laquiri
1x Neo-Spacian Dark Panther
1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
2x Mind Control
3x Malice Dispersion
1x Brain Control
1x Smashing Ground
1x Fissure
2x Waboku
2x Light-Imprisoning Mirror
I haven't finished the side deck but it changes up to make sure cards like Skill Drain, Oppression and Shadow Imprisoning Mirror won't hinder my GB performance. As for the cards I would run in my deck:
Cold Wave - The only card I know that let's my GB's attack easily even if Oppression is on the field (because it prevents face up cards from activating so it forces opponent's to flush out other cards which I can negate)
Mirror Wall - I find this better than Waboku because at least with Mirror Wall, I punish them if their precious SD Dragon attacks my attack mode GB.
Parry - Now some people wonder why I run this. Simple, it's a counter trap that can negate Solemn and all those annoying trap cards that stop my deck from succeeding while even if I lose it to a negation card (Solemn), I don't have to return a GB to my deck because it's not a cost so it's not a -1 to me if they negate it, it's like a equal trade and half of their lp are gone.
Reckless Greed - Well....I have to find a way to draw more and Respite can't do it by itself. I may cut it down to 2 to add a different right now.
My side deck is focused around negating anti-special summons while also preparing against mirror matches, removal decks (since I've seen a surge of popularity come back with them) and Lightsworn.
I really want suggestions because I want to take this to Upper Deck Day and I can use the help.
Coret - Well teh main tech I toss into it is Malice Dispersion. It's a quickplay spell card that at the cost of one card from hand, I can nuke all face up continuous trap cards on the field. No more Oppression, no Shadow Imprisoning Mirror and especially no Skill Drain. I would probably side out Cold Wave then for it because most likely, they'll be siding in the Skill Drain.

I'm impressed that's a great find. My first thought would have been something like Twister or Malevolent Catastrophe, but in this case I think you've made a perfect call for a tech card. I'll have to consider that when I side deck out my Nobleman of Exterminations in game two.
Den Frenzy - Thanks. I usually figured people always tending to main play PWWB and with Malice, it's the same cost but it deals a better blow because usually some players will have one or two active in case they can't afford the lp or something. I usually like them to draw out their cards because then after I drop the Cold Wave on game 1, I have pretty much control of the battle. By game 2 and 3, I want them to set up their anti cards so I can knock them down. Even if they negate it with Solemn, I'll still even encourage use of Skill Drain and Oppression just to weaken their lp up for a Wall/Shrink finisher.
Though don't get me wrong, both cards you mentioned are good tech as well because Twister is a quickplay with a low cost of 500 lp but I decided no because it only hits one face up card. If a Skill Drain and Oppression hit the field, I'm screwed unless I got 2 Twisters in hand. Catastrophe is a sweet Heavy Storm and I originally ran it but the problem is my trap line up is set up nicely that even removing one element kinda messes it up. Even with Reckless Greed removed, the flow just kinda hinders itself. That's why I did Malice. I can side out Cold Waves easily because game 2 and 3 they start putting in chainable cards making Cold Wave a -1. So it's the perfect side swap. I'll post up the rest of my side deck when it's finished.
squid - Ah true but at least with Malice, I can set it and not risk a normal summon. Though then again, Mei-Kou's only real threat is Solemn. I still prefer Malice as a better side deck choice since continuous spell cards aren't as huge right now and more people are side decking continuous traps than spells.
Yeah, sorry bout that. Had a bottle of wine and went to bed. Totally forgot about you. oops!
Right now you have a lot of traps and you are wanting to use tech in your side to combat removal decks, Anti-Special Summon (aka Oppression), and negation.
I really dont have a lot of experience with GB. Ive never had enough pieces. I think that since you dont want to prevent your own traps with Decrees, but you do want to counter a lot of effects like Oppression, Macro, and Skill Drain, not to mention possibly force or destroy things like Mirror and Solemn, that I would side a simple Mobius or another Retiari.
Reckless Greed seems contradictory to me. Wont you be putting too many GBs in your hand? I'd be more inclined for another Mirror Wall and straight up removal like Lightning Vortex. I know that speed is crucial today, but unless its a specific deck searcher/shuffler, it doesn't feel like it fits this well.
btw, Im pulling all this out of my nethers, so feel free to take any advice with a grain of salt.

LOL...dude it must of been a good date night. *thumbs up*
I understand you don't have any experience with GB but I figured if there was anything I know I lack in, it's making good side decks. Sure I'll get lucky with a few tech cards but then once I start playing and then realize "Crud, if I knew I was going up against that, I would of sided [insert card here]", I would start regretting it. As for Mobius, that isn't too bad of an idea. I mean it stops Oppression and Mirror but Skill Drain would make it useless. And I know if players have Skill Drain side boarded, they'll put it in the deck game 2 and 3 so I'll probably say no.
The thing is I prefer not to run Reckless Greed but it's the best splash draw card in this deck. See, decks like DAD, Zombies and Lightsworn have at least 3 ways of getting through their decks fast while still maintaining either a card for card or +1. DAD has D Draw, Allure, (sometimes Trade-In), Reinforcements, Stratos and Malicious. The only cards GB has going for it is Respite (which if you said I draw into too many GB, I can shuffle 2 back into the deck to draw 3 cards) and Proving Ground. Once Sammite comes out in Crimson Crisis, he will be the next best addition (since once he destroys a monster in battle, he can search for any GB card (including War Chariot and Respite) and add it to the hand. Until then, I gotta add some more speed so I can get to my cards faster. Unless you got a better suggestion for quicker deck thinning or draw power that doesn't hinder my deck's performance (outside of monsters because the monster lineup is perfect) then let me know.
I'm gonna change the side deck up just a tad though. I won't display that till later.
Even though it can get in the way of Gyzarus sometimes I still like Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror in Gladiator Beasts with all the Teleport DAD that's running around these days.

I love the Mirror. I think it's a great card against Tele-DAD that stops all the big cards from hitting. There is just one problem with it. It interfers with my deck. That's why I'm trying remedies around it first before I resort to it.
