Push for damage with a little swarm while loading the graveyard quickly for the various game-ending cards i.e. Judgment Dragon, Magical Explosion and Ceasefire.
I have no clue how it will fare in today's meta since I haven't dueled in almost a year. I'm hoping to catch a tourney in the summer once I acquire the cards I still need (Phantom of Chaos, three Charges, three Solar Recharge, two Destiny Draw and a Synchro deck).
Ideas:
Chaos Sorceror
Magical Stone Excavation
E - Emergency Call
Plaguespreader Zombie
Too inconsistent imo. You need all your ls monsters in the grave to drop jd, and your lone copies of jain and garoth dont compliment that at all.
3 trade ins with only 5 targets is not good enough, considering that they will get milled sometimes, also plasma will be draw/allure food. Allures with 7 targets may be much, but six of them are also d draw food, plus, dudes need to get on the field if this deck is considered ddt, and the 7th target is a winning condition.
After the 1st game, ill just call 4 to your reasoning and give you a nice -1. Sorry, this has waaay too many things going on, and i dont think it will work...
DDT pretty much died along with Dimension fusion to be honest..
If you like such decks, i would believe you would enjoy playing something like synchro dad, or something abusing Nitro warriors and such.. not the speed you seek, but a good replacement for todays meta..
Hmmm, this almost looking like a Twilight deck. I'd probably go more in that direction so you can make use of Dark Armed Dragon. Though truthfully neither deck is something I've done much work with.
Why did you decide against running Destiny Hero Malicious? It can still help to get tribute material for Monster Gate. Obviously the other bonus is that it works with your copies of Destiny Draw to make that engine a little more cohesive.
At the bare minimm I think this deck should be running Plaguespreader Zombie as a Tuner. It opens up some great plays with Charge of the Light Brigade like using Plaguespreader's effect, stacking Wulf on top of your deck and then activating Charge of the Light Brigade to get a free Wulf and whatever monster you search for. It gives you another way to get easy material for Monster Gate.
The other Tuners that are worth considering here probably boil down to Krebons, which would almost force you to run Emergency Teleport, and Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, which is interesting since it's a Level 3 monster that can add some additional variety to your Reasoning pulls. The plus side is they are both Dark monsters so they'll also work with Allure of Darkness.
i agree with gaia you dont have enough targets for allure ddraw and trade in, i dont even like to run allure unless i have 12 darks i see what your idea is though and its cool to see something new

The deck is built to do one thing- push for damage with a little swarm while loading the graveyard quickly for the various finishers. Magical Explosion is the primary source of damage after early-game monster attacks.
I would use 1 Garoth and 1 Jain even if I took Judgment Dragon out. They’re included because of their incredible synergy with the other cards. Jain and Garoth have a formidable ATK, fill my graveyard, are warriors for Reinforcement of the Army, are targets for Solar Recharge, are targets for Charge of the Light Brigade, and conveniently allow me to run Judgment Dragon.
Judgment Dragon is not the win condition, for clarification. It’s a bonus that is rather easy to use. Trade it In, Phantom of Chaos food, gets skipped over by Reasoning / Monster Gate, is a nice top-deck, and can finish games.

I respectfully disagree. I have extensive experience running lineups packed with the same draw power and have had no problems. Sure, the deck will encounter poor hands more frequently than the mainstream decks, but that’s how combos work. Nothing that tournament experience can’t fix.

Yes, Judgment Dragon can be a possible win condition. However, the key to deck building is to ensure it is not the only win condition. I don’t mind Judgment Dragon being in the graveyard

Okay. Big deal. I just milled 10 more cards off my deck, possibly got a free Wulf as well, and set up Magical Explosion. It’s game 2? Even better, I use a side-deck too.

I fail to see how this deck has “waaay” too many things going on.
Draw power. Monsters that attack. Burn. That’s it and that’s exactly what it will do. I’m not trying to Synchro, I’m not trying to OTK three different ways, I’m not trying to summon Judgment Dragon as my only win condition. Granted, I have a variety of different draw cards however they all accomplish the same goal.

I agree. The remove-and-return D.D.T. (which I ran for a long time) appears to be dead with the key cards being banned or restricted. “Diamond Dude Turbo” implies that a deck is, or should be, accelerated by Destiny Hero - Diamond Dude.

Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate your help. I don’t plan on changing my deck before I have even given it a shot though.

I suppose you could categorize it as Twilight since it uses both Light and Dark monsters. The builds are somewhat similar when it comes to monsters, but after that they veer off in different directions when it comes to play style.

If I had three Monster Gates or was worried about Synchro Summoning, then sure I’d use it. I left it out because other cards work better for loading the graveyard with spells and fit better with the draw power (plasma / diamond dude).

I had Plaguespreader in here but dropped it in favor of Cyber Valley. The only Synchros I could summon without using Brain Control are levels 5 and 6. Good card but I think Cyber Valley’s versatility wins out for now. It is never a dead draw and all three affects are so helpful. Drawing 1 card while ending the battle phase, drawing two, or stacking a Magical Explosion back on top of my deck to end the game.
Imagine using Reasoning / Monster Gate, milling a Wulf and hitting a Cyber Valley. Wulf Summons, Valley removes both for a draw two.

Those are the thoughts I have right now.
I wish there was a Level 8 Lightsworn and a Lightsworn Tuner monster. Either would be a huge help. I considered those cards and decided that they’d be more useful in a lineup that focused less on speed and more on stability.
Thanks for your comments Den.

That’s odd; I guess people have their own habits.

Thank you, I’m working on it. Feel free to try it out if you like it enough, I don’t care about “Netdecking”, or whatever copying was called back then, provided credit is given where it is due.
Plague is explained above. It’s a good card and may find its way back in if I slow things down.
I was trying to think of other things that could fit in here and started thinking about Dark Eruption and how it could fit into this deck. Not only would it allow you to use and reuse copies of Phantom of the Chaos that hit your Graveyard, it also gives you another way to dig the ever important Diamond Dude out of your Graveyard for free.
This means more targets for Destiny Draw since you can grab your Dude from the Graveyard and then pitch it for Destiny Draw, as well as making Diamond Dude easier to keep on the field turn after turn. It also might open up some other Dark monsters for this deck.

Well, the thing is, 1800-2100 beaters are nothing in todays meta, every top deck at the moment can surpass those atks pretty easily.. I cant see Plasma getting on the field, and to get JD on the field you need to have all the ls monsters you main in your grave, and considering you run 1 of Jain and Garoth, i think JD wont get on the field most of the time, as i mentioned before. Please correct me if im wrong, cuz i may be misunderstanding something in your deck.
For the record, i made this deck on yvd and drew some opening hands to see what its like. I activated a couple of draw spells, and ended up with a jain, or a lumina garoth, or a stratos on the field, and a dead (or near dead) hand. I ended my first turn those three times with a grave ranging from 9 to 14 cards, which means explosion still needs more spells. Such openings can be easily countered nowadays, unfortunately.
The way i saw the hands though, it looked like it could really use Magical Stone Excavation, and a couple more ls... i drew JD and if i didnt have trade in, it was just sitting there...
I see what you mean Gaia. If I wanted to go with Magical Explosion as my only win condition (which, right now, doesn't seem like a good idea), I could take the Judgments out - allowing me to add and subtract cards from the deck to make it run a whole lot smoother.
Ideally I'd like to find a good mix of attacking and speed. I'll keep fiddling with it and post my next lineup soon.
