With help of the Premier Set my Highlanders got some reforcements and army's sice was increased. As i managed to get both DA's HL uniques army got some serious mech power.

I use infantry to protect Long Tom and mechs. If opponent is newbie that has no artillery and/or VTOLs i hide Leena behind forest and use her Jump Jets to get enemy that gets too close.

I'm not sure what equipment you have to work with, but some of what you are fielding is total junk. I strongly recommend obtaining replacements for the following:

Leena... she sucks, poor girl.
SM1 tank destroyers... pathetically bad.
Marksman tanks... will spend entire game based inside 3" min.
Hauberks... not worth 27 points.
Achileus... decoy is good. 6 attack is bad.

Caden and the Long Tom are useable, but you should try to get more of the useful Highlander infantry (peasants, cavaliers, purifiers, hoverbikes, SRM teams, SRM launchers, elite infantry), VTOLs (all of them), and artillery (Snipers, Toms, J37:Towed, dont bother with Padillas). Anyway, check out the Highlander Strategy Thread for more advice.

I will try to get those units(more peasants and purifiers, some cavaliers and those other units) but i'm not sure about removing Leena Cochrane....

Ah leena, sweet Leena . . .I wish she was a better mech. She was my first Unique and hols a special place in my heart. In my colection she is the head of the Dust Bunny Brigade, though.

Leena was only OK when it was just Dark Age. The introduction of Artillery was her death knell.

She's neither fast enough, not runs cool enough to dodge artillery and be combat effective. She charge bait for the BR Lego and any other charging mech out there that out ranges her by 8"+.

She's close combat mech, who is designed to be brutal when she DFAs and then follows up with her axe. Play against a decent player and see if you ever get the chance . .. you won't.

Again, I wish she was better, but she isn't. I'm sorry!

Before i get those better inuts to replace those crappy ones i use Hauberls with Peasents to protect Long Tom and i try to use those others also best as i can. After lots of boosters i can replace them so it takes some time and money.
