So I popped open two boosters today and I was thinking...they should make something more useful out of these giant boxes they have. Why not make them look like buildings or make them split/fold so you can put them back together and they look like buildings or something. It'd be neat to see what Wizkids could do by recreating the packaging so it is set up for you to use it as terrain or something.

A specialized packaging design would probably increase the cost of packaging, thereby increasing the cost of the booster itself.

Yeah, but the ability to turn those hundreds of opened boosters into a vast city scape cannot be underestimated.

Besides, right now they just end up in the garbage.

They should do something simple at least, like print terrain on the inside of the box, so that once they're open you can unfold the cardboard into standard terrain.

It would also make Sealed Booster much easier to play, in that you'd get random terrain pieces with each box.

i like that terrain idea a lot Kinra that was some good thinking and i second the notion whereas the building ide would make booster even more expensive keeping in mind most players are between 13 to 21 or so most have low pay jobs car payments clothing and ect to buy for them selves im 16 hold down 2 jobs and can barly swing the 10 bux a week just to get some figs its a rough world for the young gamer lest not kill off the last few

I've noticed that MW Boosters fit on the "City Bock C" areas quite nicely...but yeah, it'd be cool if they at least made 'em so that you could do Perferated-Cut-Out shapes of the Official Blocking terrain...or if they at least SOLD said terrain...gosh I'm so tired of looking at Felt "buildings"

The only problem with 3-D blocking terrain is that as of the latest FAQ, Cruising VTOLs can end their move on top of Blocking Terrain.

So, now Blocking Terrain must be built so that VTOLs do not end up with their base obstructed. Isn't that stupid?

I make buildings outta my boosters. I cover them with paper and draw stuff in. Its not spectacular or breathtaking but ppl get the idea when they see them.

The cardboard from which the packages of the boosters are made, is rather useful to create buildings with. Online you can find enough stuff that you can print out and glue to card to make buildings. Still Mrcanoehead's idea is nice

hey, this idea is cool. also old skate wheels make prefect towers,building, and such. i also made a medic tent/bunker/whatever out of the packaging of an aol cd i got in the mail! styrofoam is cheap and can be used to make good terrain

That is an absolutely amazing idea. I hope WizKids sees that.

How much could it cost to print a little bit of black pantone ink on the blank side of a piece of cardboard? Less than it costs to print it on the blank side of a larger cereal box template, that's for sure.

The only thing, it would not be preforated.. that drives up price and makes the boosters easy to loot.
Just some black ink on the inside of the boosters would be a neglible cost.

Keep in mind WizKids didn't increase the prices of boosters when they started printing off blank dossier cards or when they improved the packaging of their units in general. I thought that was mighty considerate of them. A little extra black ink for terrain templates printed on the inside of a booster certainly pales in comparison to the cost of extra paper WITH a little extra black ink (the not completely blank dossiers).
